Wij hebben 2 heerlijke nachten gehad bij dit hotel! De gastheer (Ruchira) heeft ons verblijf super aangenaam gemaakt. Locatie is perfect, veel groen om je heen en op loopafstand van restaurants. Superfijn massage centrum voorgesteld en een goede chauffeur geregeld bij onze doorreis! Echt een aanrader als je wil verblijven in Sigiriya!

Vi havde et fantastisk ophold. Beliggenheden var helt perfekt – kun få minutters gang fra Sigiriya Lion Rock, hvilket gjorde det nemt at komme tidligt afsted. Alle medarbejdere var utrolig venlige, hjælpsomme og fik os til at føle os meget velkomne.

En særlig tak til værten, Richira, som var meget imødekommende og gav os masser af gode informationer. Han arrangerede en nattur for at se lorier og var samtidig vores chauffør. Takket være ham fik vi en fantastisk oplevelse og var så heldige at se to lorier. Vi kan varmt anbefale at bo her og ville meget gerne komme igen.

Eigenaar was zo netjes en vriendelijk, regelde een supersafari en gaf veel informatie over alles wat je wilde weten. Heel gastvrij en heel belangrijk: diervriendelijk! Er staat een olifant verderop in de straat die heel erg mishandeld wordt! Ga er niet heen voor een ritje ofzo, maar dat mag nu onderhand toch wel duidelijk zijn dat olifanten heel erg mishandeld worden voor ze ingezet worden voor toeristen! Kotsmisselijk worden wij van deze praktijken!!

What I loved most about this hotel is the warm hospitality of the host, Mr. Arjune and Mr. Kutchiriya. He truly went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

I especially enjoyed the healthy breakfast, which included fresh fruits and a variety of local dishes—it was both delicious and nourishing.

The hotel is also just a couple of minutes from town, which makes it very convenient if you want to go out for meals or explore the area.

I also really appreciated the homey atmosphere. It’s quiet, relaxing, and feels like a home away from home.

Overall, this place is absolutely great value for money. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful stay in Sigiriya.

Wir waren drei Nächte, das Zimmer sowie Bad warwn sehr sauber und geräumig. Überzeugt haben vorallem die zwei Männer an der Rezeption, die sich um alles gekümmert haben und überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit waren.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

We stayed at the Sunshine Resort & Spa Sigiriya for two days. This place was amazing. The best thing about the place is the people. They were so kind, accomodating and helpful from the moment we got there to when we left. You ended up leaving feeling like you made new friends. The location is ideal to visit Sigiriya or Pidurangala as it is very close to both places. You could just walk 200-300 m and be near restaurants and shops and get a side view of Sigiriya as well. The place is very peaceful and quiet but close to everything. Even if you don't have a car, they can organise a ride for you. The rooms have everything you need and looks just like in the photos. The internet was good and stable. We also ended up getting breakfast here and the spread was outstanding. There was a lot of food and each day it was different. We would come back here anytime we are in this area.

Very nice staff, especially Arjuna, very kind and attentive. The room is very comfortable, everything is clean, cleaning is every day. Breakfasts and dinners are delicious

Sunshine Resort is a great location for a stay in Sigiriya . In superb walking distance of Lion Rock itself and also restaurants , ATM and convenience store .If not fancying a walk then tuk tuks are always available by entrance or easily sorted for you by the staff. We just had breakfasts at the resort and that was lovely fresh food every morning , plentiful and set you up for the day and only needing a snack for lunch. The room had plenty of space and staff were superb for cleaning , sorting any issues and giving you advice on anything in the area or further afield. The rooms are set in a beautiful garden and again very well maintained, they even helped us put up our travel hammock between the trees to chill one afternoon. We would definitely stay here again if ever in Sigiriya.

Personal sehr freundlich. Schöne Anlage in einem wunderschönen Garten. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Es gab jeden Tag u. a. eine andere lokale Spezialität. Restaurants fußläufig zu erreichen. Viele Ausflüge direkt in der Unterkunft buchbar.

The staff were so friendly and attentive. It was so clean and location was perfect. They helped us to organised excursions and the food was wonderful.
