The only good thing about this property is that it’s close to the RK metro station. And the staff were decent.
The rooms were very old, we were given a ground floor room with bed covers with stains, bathroom doors that didn’t close well. The water in the bathroom was murky! It was horrible. Good thing we only booked for 1 night as we waited for our flight. There are plenty other options near by dont book this one!

The behaviour of the receptionist Mr Pandey. He was following illegal orders and unfair practices adopted by the owners of this hotel but at least he was polite.
First of all, this hotel took my booking in the name of Hotel The Metropolis but at the time of checking in they told me the booking is for another of their guest house nearby inside a side street. I could not understand why not register the other property on Booking.com instead of Hotel The Metropolis and stop misleading customers!!
However, they said rooms are available at Hotel The Metropolis too and at the same price. So, I stayed at this place. But right on arrival, it created bad vibes
The check-out experience was not too good either! They said they would charge me an extra 4% if I paid by Credit Card!! On protesting that it is a service they are supposed to provide customers for free and not charge me which is against the law, the receptionist that it was an order from the Hotel Owner!! I also pointed out that I know for a fact that CC POS provider banks charge a maximum of 1.2% to 1.8% to the service provider in the case of Indian Master or Visa card charges and NOT 4%. This hotel and the owner were obviously trying to fleece customers and adopt illegal practices.

The location was quite scary, especially arriving at night, right in the middle of local market. Hotel itself was in ok condition, but not kept clean, we asked to change our bedding, which they did promptly.
At check out they tried to charge us again for the stay, even though we paid fully on Expedia. Their excuse was that we have booked and paid for another hotel, not theirs, even though they mentioned nothing when we were checking in two nights previous and we asked them to confirm that we had a booking on our name . This seems to be a common trick in India, so be aware!
Don’t book with this Hotel you may arrive and prepaid then they will tell you they have no rooms available, even though you called earlier in the day telling them you are coming in late on a train. They are unreliable and even lied to me saying I didn’t have reservation until the next day see but then it was clearly written in there book. They where heartless didn’t care sent us to a hotel room 4 blocks out of the way that was noisey and in a bad location plus very noisy. Would not pay for transportation to other hotel either.
Customer service was great. No complaints. Would love to come back.
