Nice central location
The hotel rooms were very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was very poor quality and value
Nice decorating, comfortable bed, quiet hotel and room.
Bed had a mark/burn on the cover, made it look dirty, shower was not draining so water spilled into the floor, hair dryer didn't work
I studied and worked in this building, latterly as the Site Librarian 1998-2006 so it was great to see the renovation.
The room heating wasn’t working - a problem with the thermostat, this seems to be a common problem.
The staff where fantastic, the only criticism was the room was not as clean as it should be ( around the shower and bathroom floor grout ) and the decor is scruffy. Other than that the bed was great food was great and the location ideal

Staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant - each and everyone of them i encountered.
Very minor gripe was that there was no shower cap in the room and my daughter had to go to reception to get one.
Good location, spacious rooms when travelling with a baby and a good price. All the facilities we needed.
On the morning we were checking out (2 hours before check out time) a maid knocked and before I had chance to answer the door opened it herself. Not a huge problem but I was just about to get in the shower and my 6 month old was in his cot. I know there are DND signs but I feel like they should wait until after check out time before coming in the room. I would have felt really uncomfortable if I had been in the shower and my baby was alone in the room. The maid then asked what time we were checking out which I feel like unless we were late it is not really any of their business.

Fab location, absolutely lovely staff, and genuinely very dog-friendly — made us (and the pup 🐶) feel so welcome. Rooms were spacious with decent amenities
