La stanza era talmente piccola che non potevamo ne camminare ne aprire le valigie se non sui letti. Abbiamo dovuto mangiare a terra, neanche una sedia. Il bagno era maleodorante.

Son emplacement est pas trop mal situé. Lave-linge et séchoir disponible.

Localização boa, praticamente em frente há um ponto da linha de ônibus que leva à estação de trem de Kyoto. É possível deixar as malas antes do check in.

Pros:

La propreté de la chambre, la cuisine bien conçue et très bien équipée, et l'atmosphère de la chambe très agréable !

Cons:

Donner des informations sur les environs en anglais à la réception car elles n'étaient qu'en japonais ! et la personne ne m'a donner aucune information sur l'emplacement de l'hotel !! Pas assez de parapluies et en juin c'est la saison des pluies donc indispensable !

The high review scores are very misleading.
Pros:

- The staff were friendly.

Cons:

I chose Sakura Stay because of its high overall rating and positive reviews. While I did notice some reviews mentioning cleanliness issues, I assumed it were isolated incidents. After all, even highly rated hotels occasionally receive complaints like that.

In hindsight, I should have taken it as a serious red flag.

This hotel was extremely poorly maintained. I may have simply been unlucky, but the room I was assigned was very dirty. There were thick layers of dust throughout the room, making it clear that it hadn’t been deep-cleaned in a long time and had only received superficial cleaning.

There was dust on the bed frame, grime inside the washing machine, dirt trapped between the glass panels of the small table, trash left behind by previous guests, various stains, and an air conditioner so clogged with dust that it seemed genuinely unhealthy. On top of that, the shower had a strong sewage odor.

I sincerely hope the rooms are eventually given a proper deep clean, as the current condition was simply unhygienic.

The hallway was also unpleasant, with a strong feet smell and stained carpeting.

The hotel’s high review scores are, in my opinion, very misleading and do not accurately reflect the condition or quality of the rooms.
