Land of Hope and Glory
Pros:

It's a nice looking building and was exceptionally convenient for me - as was the price. Bit of trouble with the check in as the receptionist couldn't find my booking at first, but after eventually pressing the right button the reservation was found. Maybe it was a bad day cos the reception staff looked unhappy and there was no apology. The room would have been lovely if it had a window. Bed and bedding were comfy. Aircon super quiet and efficient. Basic toiletries provided. Bedside light didn't work and the bathroom door locked itself from the inside so I had to call reception to get these fixed - they were quick and efficient. Fridge in room inoperative but I didn't mind. Woken at 6 in the morning by the tune 'Land of Hope and Glory' playing incessantly on a loop from maybe the room above - it seemed loudest in the bathroom so I closed the door and it locked itself again...another call to reception. Shower not hot enough and the shower door fell off. No bathmat or floor towel so slipped around a bit - careful there! Got my 1000 peso deposit back from another miserable receptionist after the room was checked. So maybe I was just unlucky? I may stay there again if I have to.
