I will definitely stay there again, if I ever visit London in the future
Pros:

The hosts were helpful and friendly, always available and courteous. I felt like we were friends when we left. The room was spacious, the neighborhood very quiet. Neighborhood run down, but walkable and safe. Our room could use some updates with decor but staying in a historical building was so interesting, with so many cool details of history.

Cons:

Bed was uncomfortable, tv did not work well. Shower water was unstable turned hot/cold sporadically during shower

Did the job for one night
Pros:

Staff members were very friendly. They kept our bags for free for a few hours after check-out. The beds were confortable and the night surprisingly calm and silent for the neighborhood. Coffee/tea available in the room.

Cons:

We chose a family room for 4 people. It's located on the lower ground of the building. It doesn't look professionally finished and the wiring behind the fridge is very questionable.

OK for where I needed to be but wouldn't stay again.

Location was good for where I needed to be for my meeting.

Cons:

The overwhelming smell of drains and damp in the room was awful. I mentioned the drain smell as checking out but was told it was just an old building and there is nothing they can do about it. The smell was honestly over-powering even with the bathroom door closed, and really not nice to be in - I woke with a headache. I don't think it's acceptable to expect people to sleep in that as a paid guest. No plug near the mirror for hair straighteners etc. so I needed to plug in by the bed and try to use the bathroom mirror from a distance which was also annoying. I was in a basement room which was quite cold for me personally as I couldn't adjust the heating or radiators. Floor tiles were all cracked in the room and bathroom, furniture was a bit scruffy and 'tired'. Fridge was really loud throughout the night. I wouldn't stay again.

Le personnel est réactif et agréable pour le peu que j'ai pu interagir avec eux.
Le potentiel de cet hôtel s'il était rénové.
Et malgré l'emplacement : à 2min d'un arrêt du bus 15 (direct jusqu'à Trafalgar square)

Cons:

Fortes odeurs d'humidité partout jusqu'aux coussins de décoration
La moquette très peu aspirée : n'inspire pas confiance. Même en aérant en permanence, l'odeur ne partait pas...

Fortes d'odeur remontant des tuyaux de la salle de bain, très désagréable...

Pas de nettoyage de la chambre pendant notre séjour : lits non faits (pas très grave), serviettes non changées (pas grave non plus), salle d'eau non nettoyée, moquette non aspirée...
Seule la poubelle a été vidée chaque jour

Le fauteuil-lit est plutôt adapté à des enfants donc ok pour nous.

Effe was very accommodating and made my stay very pleasant. Will definitely be back when visiting London.
Pros:

Was very welcoming, room was clean and spacious. Friendly staff- Effe made sure I was looked after, room was upgraded as I had arrived earlier than check-in time.

Cons:

Need to keep in mind the location is where it is.

Excellent !
Pros:

L’accueil était parfait - equipe très disponible l’emplacement aussi à 3 mn une station de métro ( whitechapel ) et à 24 mn à pied de London tower ce qui permet de flâner et découvrir les quartiers tout en se promenant. Tout était réuni pour un excellent sejour !

Cozy hotel full of characteristic
Pros:

The location is great. easy access from Aldgate, Aldgate East, Whitechapel and Shadwell stations. So you have plenty of options of transportation to get in and out.

Cons:

Exterior noise but nothing drastically, quite normal for Whitechapel tho.
