The host was excellent, helping us find guides to waterfalls, letting us borrow bikes to get around, and driving us to and from Uehara port.

古い施設でしたが、2組限定のこぢんまりした可愛いリゾートホテルでした。
オーナーも穏やかで良い人柄が滲み出ていました。
ロケーションもよく、静かでゆっくりできました。
ベランダからの景色も素晴らしかったです。
晩は徒歩で行ける居酒屋に行きました。
朝食はアオサのお粥や地元のお野菜、鮭などおなかに優しいメニューでした。

Our stay was truly exceptional. The property is immaculately clean, beautifully designed, and aesthetically refined — it feels like stepping into a dream from another time. Every detail is thoughtful and harmonious, creating a deep sense of calm and care.
Breakfast was outstanding: delicious, carefully prepared, and presented with great beauty and attention. The decorations throughout the property were exquisite and added to the feeling of quiet elegance.
The outdoor bathtub on the veranda was an unforgettable experience. Sitting in warm water, listening to the sounds of the jungle while enjoying the view, felt both luxurious and deeply peaceful.The host was exceptionally kind, attentive, and patient. We traveled with teenage boys, and despite the noise and disorder that can sometimes follow a family like ours, we were met with nothing but warmth, understanding, and genuine care throughout our stay.
This place is rare. We felt truly cared for, and the experience will stay with us for a long time.

La ubicación, el tamaño y diseño de la habitación es ideal. Es como tener tu propio estudio donde puedes cocinar si quieres. Y las vistas son muy bonitas. Tome me hizo sentir como en casa con su hospitalidad y se preocupó por mí durante mi estancia. Me ayudó muchísimo durante mi tiempo en Iriomote. Muy recomendable, volvería sin duda.

Our stay at Mayagusuku Resort was one of the most memorable of our 6-week long trip. Tome was an incredibly good and attentive host and made sure we saw the best sides of Iriomote. The hotel was spacious, breakfast was tasty, and the room was very comfortable - and included the most incredible view of cliffs and the sea and the star-filled sky at night. We also loved cycling around the island on the provided bikes, for example to the gorgeous nearby beach. The highlight of our stay on Iriomote was the guided boat trip that Tome guided. We sailed around in the area, snorkelled, and went to a secluded beach - an amazing trip! All in all, a big recommendation for anyone going to Iriomote

Tome was so welcoming & kindly collected us from the ferry terminal. He showed us around and had left some fresh pineapple for us to enjoy (so delicious!)

The room was huge with a little kitchen, a dining table & big sofa. There was a private terrace to enjoy the sea & to stargaze at night (it is a dark sky location so this was incredible on a clear night). The bedroom & bathroom were also very spacious and everything was incredibly clean.

The location was fantastic, within walking distance to many bars & restaurants. Tome kindly let us borrow bikes to explore beaches that were a bit further away, although there was a beautiful secluded beach a 5 minute walk away.

Breakfasts were genuinely incredible. Lovingly prepared and with a mixture of local delicacies and some western aspects. Very generous portions!

We had a wonderful time & are so grateful to Tome for making our trip so memorable.

We had a great time in family (kids from 11 to 18). The hosts were super welcoming, the rooms, breakfast, location and arrangement of activities (tour in the mangrove and snorkeling) made the whole family super happy. The view from the room is super relaxing and the proximity with the beach is really great! We strongly recommend this address!

Wow, what an amazing location! This villa is outstanding. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was excellent, the breakfast was excellent, the surrounding area is beautiful..

Travel tips:
1. Do the kayak & hike tour to Pinasara Falls (e.g. with Activity Japan, Ika the guide is awesome)
2.. Book dinner! There are only a handful of small restaurants nearby and we almost went hungry one night.

バルコニー風呂も良かった。

the family that owned the hotel were lovely and so helpful, they sorted out all our evening restaurant reservations for us ( there are not many places to eat and they get booked up quickly so even though its super quiet you need to reserve) and even drove us to the restaurant on the first night, they also gave us a lift into town to catch the ferry on the last day. the room was large and characterful and the balcony and the view and the hot tub were great. there is an amazing beach just 5 minutes away.

The forte of this guesthouse is the wonderfully pristine view out onto the sea and hills without any building. So just pure nature.
There was an impressive collection of jazz CDs that could be played on the room's CD player.

Beautiful grounds, room and exceptional food! Kind and helpful staff! Very quiet hotel. We loved the outdoor bath on the balcony of our room. The hot water was lovely.
