The easiest way to get to the property from the main train station in Lucerne is to take the S5 train. IN only two stations you are at the "Mattenhof" station. From there it is only a few steps to the hotel.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Très belle expérience en famille

Cons:

There was no water heater for making tea or coffee in the room and there were no proper cups...just makes the experience much better
Also the shower door was half so it led to a lot of spillage of water on the bathroom door

Exciting 3 night stay at Kriens.
Pros:

Holiday Inn Express is an ideal choice if you plan to visit the Mount Pilatus. We stayed as a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, and the rooms are quite comfy and spacious. A special mention to the reception staff and the manager as they are quite courteous and ensure they meet all your requests. Location is also ideal as it's a 2 minute walk to Kriens Mattenhorf station, which takes you to Lucern. The hotel also provides a free visitor pass that covers your local transport. Hot Tip: Mygros is right opposite the hotel for quick cheap eats.

Cons:

Buffet breakfast could have added a few more options as it was quite limited. We struggled to find fruits at the buffet during our 3 day stay.

Für zwei Nächte war das Hotel eine gute Wahl!
Pros:

Das Frühstück war super - die Auswahl riesig. Das Hotel ist sehr gut an das öffentliche Verkehrsnetz angebunden- das Zentrum Luzerns ist mit der S-Bahn in guten 5 Minuten erreichbar - ein absolutes Plus.

Cons:

Der Verkehrslärm vor unserem Fenster war schon etwas lästig - unser Zimmer lag leider zur Hauptverkehrsstraße hin.

It was clean and quiet.

Cons:

There were no European plugs in the rooms and the USB was the old type so we were unable to change our phones. While I appreciate it was my ignorance that Switzerland uses a totally different plug from the rest of Europe, I cannot be alone. Sell adaptors from reception or vending machines. Then you won't have to put signs up telling people not to force the European plugs into the Swiss sockets.....

An excellent hotel for the money in the most beautiful tourist city of Switzerland, with practically no downsides except

Clean, modern, very tasty and varied breakfast, stylish rooms, good location next to the train station, relatively inexpensive.

Cons:

In my room, two USB ports were broken, as was the shower head holder. The amenities provided aren't very extensive, although you can request some items at reception.
