Like the kitchen area
The ice machine on the second floor was not there. There was no toilet paper in the room.
The location of the hotel and the breakfast bar.
We had a good experience overall. The property feels reasonably new, clean, and safe. It is located about 10 mins drive north of downtown Beaufort; this is a property one would drive to/from (vs. walking around area).
The foyer was pretty dark when we arrived in the evening. While the room is very long (with a kitchenette near the door), it is also narrow - so it feels more claustrophobic than spacious. The bedding and pillows were comfortable.
This seems a very dog friendly hotel - with several guests with dogs there during our stay. That will be a feature if you are a dog owner. The sound-proofing in the rooms does not seem very good, and we heard dogs barking/yapping a couple of times during the night. There was also a loud banging noise coming from one of the rooms near ours.
The shower was good. The bathroom has a noisy pocket door - a poor design decision. That means, if there is more than one person in the room, a person using the bathroom at night will likely wake up others in the room with the door noise.
The breakfast setup was a bit moronic. The person who designed it had arranged all the food stations VERY compactly - as if designing for a submarine instead of a place of hospitality. A waffle-making machine (always a bottle neck) was positioned at the beginning of the food area. A family of six arrived at the breakfast area and their size and the tight spacing meant others couldn't close to the breakfast food for about 15 to 20 minutes. One would think Hilton, with all its years in the hotel industry, would have figured out something like this (non-moronic breakfast setup) by now.
Despite some defects (noise at night, breakfast logistics), the property was good overall. However, the nightly rate when we were there seemed too high for what one got. I noticed the parking lot (shared with a sister Tru hotel property) was quite full in the morning. Perhaps the room rates were higher than normal when we were there due to limited availability.
Clean. Spacious room.
Pricey.
Great atmosphere, rooms were clean and amazing service from the staff overall a great place to enjoy a work trip or family trip
Great time, love the atmosphere and it was very very great experience. The staff here is amazing and very welcoming!
I was disappointed with breakfast. We ate out 2 of the days we were there. Most of the employees were very friendly and willing to answer whatever questions we had.
We did run into one employee who only spoke Spanish. Having lived in California most of my life I expected that being near the Mexican border. It surprised back here. That was my first encounter in the 3 years that we have been here.
Overall, I had no issues with the hotel. The only thing that I would add, is the presence of a few bugs in the room but as soon as I disclosed it with the front desk, it was handled
