Cons:

I honestly can’t express how disappointing this stay was. The property looked beautiful and very dreamy online, but the reality was completely different. Both of our kids woke up with severe bedbug bites all over their faces after the first night, which was extremely upsetting.

On top of that, there was a large diesel generator running next door that produced strong fumes throughout the night, making it very difficult to sleep. The service was poor, the food was mediocre at best, and there was very little hot water available for showering.

We are not people who usually complain, but this place was exceptionally bad. Overall, it was the worst booking we have ever made, and we would not recommend staying here.

Prachtige bungalows aan heerlijk strand.
Pros:

De locatie aan het mooie strand. De bungalows zijn echt prachtig. Ook de strandstoelen zijn goed. De receptie was zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk

Cons:

Het restaurant is heel ongezellig en het personeel niet vriendelijk. Lunch is ok, maar voor ontbijt en diner zijn we vaak weggegaan. Op zich zijn er wel wat restaurants/beachbars van ander hotels in de buurt, maar die waren ook erg rustig. Om meer keuze te hebben voor diner zijn we regelmatig met een taxi naar het drukkere gedeelte van Tulum gegaan. We hebben wel heerlijk japans gegeten ca 10 minuten lopen langs het strand. Het ontbijt hebben we twee hotels naast Kai genomen.

חוף ים ביציאה מהמלון, חדר נקי.

Cons:

לא היה מים חמים במקלחת.

Lovely place to stay in Tulum
Pros:

Very nice room, comfortable, clean. We also liked the access to the beach with its comfy beach chairs. The food in the restaurant was very delicious. We also enjoyed the gardens on the property.

Cons:

The service in the restaurant can improve with the waiters. Sometimes it would take a long time for them to come and see if we needed anything, especially when we were sitting on the beach tables/chairs. Also, the responsivness of the receptionist can improve. We did not have hot water in our room for two days. We told the receptionist, he responded, but nothing was done until we had to go and insist with the staff at the restaurant. Also, we changed rooms for the last night and that room was not as nice as the original one. There was some electrical noise all night from the property next door and many mosquitoes in the room. So some rooms are better than others... With a few tweaks, we think that this hotel can improve and be even better. We hope this feedback helps, as we would like to return again on another occasion.

The AC Inverter in the room 9 did not cool and function correctly!

NO information infront that we have to enter a nature reservoir where you have to pay extra and google maps sent you a wrong way. They easily could have told us before!?

So yes the room looks great… but this ist not all!

And we were 2 nights there and I dis not get the promised coffee once.. even though I remindered them.

3 star hotel? Maybe a few years ago…

Pros:

Il luogo in cui è posizionato è speciale. Tutte le casette sono bellissime e con il necessario, patio esterno con divano letto, tavolino, doccia esterna e doccia interna. Si “respira” Relax già dalla reception! altro pregio, essere dentro la riserva di Tulum, nel silenzio, immerso nella natura e con il suono delle onde.. speciale.

Cons:

Scomodo nel fare i passaggi dalla reception alle casette con la valigia perché cammini sulla sabbia.

Small poece of paradise
Pros:

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay at Kai Tulum. Very helpful, welcoming staff, the on site restaurant is among the best on the beach. Everything is exactly as the pictures show. To be preferred to the “zona hotelera” if you just want to relax on the beach.
