Spacious rooms and great fitness facilities, but mixed service experience.

I recently stayed at Hotel Sapphire and found a few things that future guests should know to help set expectations.

The Positives: The rooms themselves were fantastic—truly spacious and kept very clean throughout our stay. We also really loved the gym; the facilities are excellent, and the gym staff were helpful and professional. Special shout-out to Grace at the hotel, who was absolutely wonderful and truly saved the day for us on more than one occasion.

Dining & Service: The breakfast and general dining options were acceptable for the price point.

Overall, it’s a solid property if you're looking for clean, large rooms and a good workout space, but the service in the dining area could definitely use some streamlining!

Cons:

Location & Comfort: The hotel is conveniently located near the Old Town, which is a plus for sightseeing. However, be aware that the surrounding immediate area doesn’t offer a lot in terms of dining or activities. Also, our room was situated quite close to a mosque; while we respect the surroundings, it is worth noting that it gets quite loud, so bring earplugs if you want to ensure a restful night's sleep.

Unfortunately, we found the service in the restaurant/breakfast area a bit confusing. It seemed like the staff were often miscommunicating orders between themselves—our coffee orders (milk vs. no milk) were consistently mixed up, no matter how many times we explained them.

Pros:

Dette hotellet var over all forventning. Tenåringen var svært fornøyd med godt utstyrt gym, minsten med basseng, og ikke minst oppgradering av rom. Vi storkoste oss på dette hotellet en natt i transitt.

Fantastisk personale og skøn hotel
Pros:

Super lækkert hotel, vi boede i et stort rummeligt værelse, der var rent og havde god udsigt. Hotellet ligger midt i byen og man kommer let rundt på tuk - tuk. ( vi var først lidt skeptiske , da der er meget trafik, men det kommer man hurtigt over og man hører det ikke på hotellet)

På hotellet er der en lækker terrasse, hvor restauranten og poolen er.

Det der gjorde hotellet HELT unikt, var det søde personale, de var helt fantastiske alle sammen og gjorde bare vores ophold endnu bedre ❤️ vi kan varmt anbefalde dette hotel til alle der vil have mere end et godt ophold i Mombasa.
Vil helt sikkert komme tilbage til dette hotel.

Pros:

I booked a room for a few hours rather than a long wait at Mombasa airport. It was very easy to get to/from the airport and the staff were incredibly accommodating. They gave me an early check in which I was very grateful for. The restaurant is good, lovely Indian food and lots of other choice.
