Ausserordentlich freundliches Personal, Essen gut. Sehr sehr ruhig, keine Unterhaltung. Schöne Einrichtung, müsste besser gepflegt werden.
Abfall am Strand wird nicht beseitigt. Boatshuttle zu teuer.
Unser Aufenthalt im Koh Russey Resort war schlichtweg perfekt und gehört definitiv zu den besten Hotelerlebnissen, die wir je hatten. Wer Ruhe, modernes Design und exzellenten Service sucht, ist hier genau richtig.
Was uns begeistert hat:
Der Ocean Pavillon: Unser Zimmer war ein Traum. Es liegt eingebettet im Schatten alter Bäume, unglaublich nah am Wasser. Nachts bei offenem Fenster dem Wellenrauschen zu lauschen, war Erholung pur. Das Design ist modern und das Beleuchtungssystem äusserst durchdacht und praktisch.
Pool & Strand: Die Poollandschaft ist wunderschön gestaltet. Besonders geschätzt haben wir die bequemen Liegen mit dicken Polstern, die sowohl am Pool als auch am 1,2 km langen Strand im kühlen Schatten der Bäume bereitstehen.
Kulinarik: Da das Resort nur wenige Gäste hatte, genossen wir Frühstück und Abendessen à la carte. Die Qualität war hervorragend und der Service sehr persönlich.
Atmosphäre: Mit nur sieben Gästen fühlte es sich an wie ein Privatresort nur für uns. Die Exklusivität und Ruhe sind unbezahlbar.
Ein kleiner Wunsch für die Zukunft:
Wir hoffen sehr, dass das Resort diesen extrem hohen Standard und die wunderbare Atmosphäre halten kann, auch wenn die Gästezahlen aktuell eher niedrig sind. Es ist ein echtes Juwel in Kambodscha!

The beach was full of garbage,ie plastic bottles and cans and bags etc etc 🥺😥😥😥
Despite everybody being very kind, the professionalism of the staff was not at the level of a 5 star hotel.
We loved the pool, the beach and the two restaurants and not forgetting the staff.
We absolutely loved the hotel. However, the staff on the front desk could speak better English. Sometimes it was hard to communicate. The hotel is located on a secluded island so there is absolutely nowhere to go. If you are planning on staying more than 3 nights you might start to get a bit bored because in the evenings you can only go for dinner, the hotel does not provide anything to do. We stayed at another secluded 5-star hotel in Koh Rong, and they offered a lovely seating area on the beach with happy hour cocktails and lovely music to watch the sunset every evening. They also offered a movie night on the beach twice a week. Not sure whether this would work at this hotel, but it would be nice to offer something in the evening. Maybe a little bar on the beach with some soft music.
The best thing is the beach. It is an unbelievably beautiful and serene stretch of beach with calm water and plenty of shade. Staff are all very young, struggle with English but a lot go out of their way to please and make up for the hard product shortcomings. The food is well executed if you stick to Cambodian and Asian dishes but gets repetitive and limited. Absolutely no consistency in service.
A lot of the positive reviews here are from clients staying in the pool villas. However we booked three sea view rooms and had a ton of problems with unbreathable mouldy smells, sewage smell, hot water issues and we had to change rooms several times. The location is amazing but since their covid shut down there is a massive capex backlog which is not really being addressed.
This resort is as peaceful as it gets. Some days felt like we had the beach all to ourselves. Staff was fantastic, incredibly helpful and friendly.
This is a personal preference and nothing against the resort, but there is nothing else on Koh Russei other than the resort. My family and I are more the type to get our and adventure, getting a feel for the culture of the places we visit. This was not possible here without paying for a boat and taxi back to the mainland and a return trip. If relaxation and getting away from everything is your ideal vacation, though, this is the place for you.
Beautiful secluded beach in a well preserved island, just few minutes away from mainland in a comfortable speed boat. The hotel premises are outstanding, just as depicted in the photos and the staff is incredibly attentive.
Almost nothing, just would be useful to activate YouTube app in the room’s TV.
