Amor Arenal Adults Friendly

Amor Arenal absolutely took my breath away. I’d put it right up there with Nayara Springs—just on a smaller, more intimate scale. The private villas are pure luxury, with stunning wooden architecture that blends beautifully with the natural surroundings. Everything is thoughtfully designed for comfort: powerful AC, a dehumidifier, excellent water pressure, and perfectly hot showers.

The mini fridge is a dream—stocked daily with complimentary sangria (honestly, some of the best I’ve ever had), beer, and a selection of nonalcoholic drinks. Despite the villas being side by side, the layout gives you complete privacy. You never feel like you’re sharing space; it’s your own personal sanctuary.

The food was another highlight. I couldn’t get enough of the fresh fruit juices and local fruit each morning. The beef dishes were fantastic—especially the traditional beef, beans, and rice plate, and the lomo saltado, which was packed with flavor.

One of my favorite features of the property was the private trails. We loved exploring them and spotting wildlife right from our own hot spring! Each morning, toucans would stop by to say hello—it felt magical.

And the staff? Absolutely exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. They made us feel like royalty from start to finish.

I honestly can’t wait to return. Amor Arenal is first-class in every way.

The Spa was a disaster for me, the Lady that massaged me was brutal and would not let off the pressure either. I was in tears after it, I hope this is a one off incident. They did not charge me for it because my husband mentioned it to them which was nice, but nothing further was done. The drinks were good but way too expensive, this led us not to use the restaurant because of all the extra charges they put on top of the price mentioned. The staff was kind and helpful, the premises was beautiful but be ready to hike, very hilly, this was fine for us but may be a problem for other.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The place is beautiful, our room was always clean. We enjoyed the spa couple treatment. The staff are very friendly and it feels like they just want you to be happy and enjoy your stay.
We celebrated our anniversary and my birthday and the staff really made an effort to make us feel special.
We would definitely recommend this place and would be glad to visit again.

Best of the best in everything. From the amazing staff, to the food, to the most amazing setting. It made our trip and I can’t speak highly enough about it.

Really a luxury stay. I’m not used to such all encompassing service. Even provided some gifts for our anniversary. Great site with great sights. Privacy was excellent and views were stunning. Jungle is a bit noisy but we found it a perfect background white noise to accompany the summer rains.

Don’t even look at another resort, this place is it!!! Absolutely breathtaking rooms and property and the staff make your stay extremely special and personalized. It was the best experience I’ve had traveling and I’ve been around the world. Worth every penny spent and will definitely stay at Amor Arenal again!!

Service was 5 star and beautiful property

The stay at amor arenal was amazing and worth every penny to me and my wife. We enjoyed the service as they were ready to help a phone call away especially when it came to spotting wildlife like sloths or toucans. The breakfast here was amazing as well and we enjoyed the open scenery to the rainforest while eating. The rooms were open and free with an abundance of privacy which made it perfect with the scenes of the rainforest and on clear days you can see the amazing volcano.

Our stay was amazing. From the time we arrived from the gate to the time we left. The concierge, valet, and everyone in the resort were so friendly and accommodating. They treated us like we are family. Every time we dine in the restaurant they knew who we are and accommodated my son who is gluten free. I would highly recommend this resort. Our room has our own jacuzzi and amazing views of the arenal volcano. Our shower has rain shower head and Amazing view of the volcano as well while showering. They refill the bar every morning.

The Hotel Amor Arenal is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The private casita is a little sanctuary nestled in the jungle, allowing you to experience the jungle from the safety and luxurious comfort of its well-crafted rooms. You will feel like a cast member in The White Lotus. The best parts:
1. The view of the Arenal volcano is stunning, but clouds often hide it. That's ok because there is plenty to look at with complex patterns of tropical plants crossing a valley and ridges.
2. Wake to the sound of parrots and howler monkeys
3. Sip morning coffee from your own personal deck and hot tub.
3. Take a dip in your choice of three beautiful pools - one with a swim-up bar that is heated and a cool pool with a waterfall.
4. Animal sightings - from snakes, to green-eyed tree frogs, slots, parrots, monkeys.
5. The grounds are meticulously cared for - secluded and safe with stone pathways, an open air restaurant, meditation decks and two hiking trails on property that are the right amount of challenge.
6. Extremely accommodating service and staff.

You really don't have to (or will want to) leave the property. They have everything you need from a coffee house and gym on premise to a spa and trails.

My only recommendation for the hotel is better weather stripping beneath the doors so that the jungle stays out. We had a couple of gecko and bug visitors that managed their way in. Who could blame them, though!

Wow! My husband and I were left speechless. The customer service is just exceptional. The rooms were so beautiful. Elegance and pure beauty. Every single encounter with any hotel representative was just so lovely. We are truly so happy with Amor arenal. We will definitely come back.

The privacy was unmatched, offering a serene escape where I could fully relax. The private jacuzzi was a highlight, allowing me to unwind while soaking in the stunningly unique view of the lush rainforest and the majestic Arenal Volcano. The floor-to-ceiling windows showcased this breathtaking panorama, making every moment in the room feel like a scene from a dream.
The hotel’s environment is pure magic. Nestled in the vibrant jungle of Arenal, the property exudes serenity and awe-inspiring beauty, with pristine facilities and an authentic, eco-luxury ambiance. From Laura’s exceptional service to the warm hospitality of the entire team and the unforgettable setting, Amor Arenal is a true gem. I can’t recommend it highly enough!!
