We live in San Antonio, Texas and have flown to SMA at least 20 times in the past 15 years. The property is on one of the oldest and richest streets (Sollano) in SMA - a former mansion 300 years old that has been beautifully converted into 6 apartments by the property owner. This old colonial mansion has thick adobe and stone walls, beautiful courtyards, plants and fountains and has one of the best rooftop balcony views in SMA. We arrived at midnight after a late flight to Queretaro with a clear set of instructions on the coded and carded entry with no problem. Otherwise, daytime entry is routine with cleaning, maintenance and garden staff on site. Security on the property is really good.
The owner was not on site this holiday season, but we were in constant contact with Lucia on WhatsApp. The apartments are all unique and very different with beautiful tile, wood, cabinetry, brick and stone craftsmanship. We have stayed here twice (apartments 1 & 2) but have seen all of the apartments. The TVs are good for streaming, and the internet is fast.
No breakfast is served but there are 15 cafes that do that are within a block. Very good coffeemakers in the room, full-size refrigerators and big, fully stocked kitchens (but who would cook in SMA with a hundred great places to eat nearby?)
My only reservation with giving a recommendation this good is I want this place to be available the next time we come to SMA

Unless youre already a millionaire,you ll definitely feel like one if youre lucky enough to stay here !.I stayed in 3 hotels in the town in the week before and had been a bit disappointed.But then i hit the jackpot.Superb in every way ! I had Loft 4 and couldnt fault it. Great rooftop terraces also.Very professionally run by the staff too. I loved the courtesy dressing gowns - am now trying to track one down to buy online.Dont hesitate - go ahead and book it now !.
Not really suitable for Disabled/wheelchair users. And dont burn the toast ! The smoke alarms are quite high on the ceilings and v hard to reach to turn off.

Es muy amplio, las instalaciones son hermosas. Además tiene una terraza en las áreas comunes espectacular, con vista a la parroquia. La ubicación es perfecta, super céntrica. Me encantó, si regreso a San Miguel de Allende sin duda me hospedaría de nuevo aquí

Stay here!! We had the absolute best time in SMA and the location of sollano 34 could not have been better!! Just minutes from the square, coffee shops (highly recommended the one right on the corner, ki’bok), shopping and don’t forget to go up to the rooftop terrace and take in the AMAZING views! Would 10000% stay here again!
No hay estacionamiento y se batalla un poco
Lo mejor es la vista desde el rooftop!! Vale mucho la pena!! Ubicación ideal, a 250 metros del jardín y a 50 metros de mi café favorito. El departamento estaba completamente equipado con todo lo que puedas necesitar. El staff muy amable y flexible
El único detalle es que no tiene estacionamiento y los estacionamientos cercanos son muy caros.
