Discover Portugal’s history with a ticket to Oporto’s World of Discoveries entrance. After bypassing the entrance line, explore this space which recreates the journeys of Portuguese navigators who crossed oceans to worlds once unknown. Follow in the footsteps of history's explorers and begin to understand how they navigated without modern technology and earned the nation's maritime might. Learn about what the Portuguese had to face and how they finally managed to enter the Indian Ocean in 1488, led by Vasco da Gama. Follow their journey with the help of 4D globes and hop on a replica of a 16th-century ship to understand a sailor's daily life. Cruise to equatorial forests, India, Timor, China, Macao, Japan, and Brazil, recreating the odyssey of the discoveries.
