    Trajan's Forum was ordered to be built by the Emperor Trajan and was the last Imperial Forum constructed in Ancient Rome. A number of columns have been re-erected and it's possible to see Trajan's column which remains.

    The Basilica of Maxentius dominates the ruins and at the time, it was the largest building in Rome. It was built by the Emperor Maxentius and was completed in 312 AD.

    The Temple of Romulus was turned from a building into a temple for the Emperor Maxentius' son and you can see several paintings from the middle of the 13th Century decorating the wall.
