Morning is free for relaxation. In the evening proceed for the AFRO FUTURE Festival, the largest growing festival in the continent of Africa brings together millennial talents from and within Africa for an amazing day of Black excellence.
Depart Accra early morning on a 3-Hour drive to Ghana’s Central Region. Visit Kakum National Park, one of Ghana’s most famous parks. Take a brief walking tour on the forest floor to experience the Kakum canopy walkway, Africa’s only aerial walkway through the tree canopy. The canopy walkway is about 1000 foot long and is made up of seven-bridge walkway with viewing platforms that reach heights of over 150 feet above the forest floor. Learn at first hand the cultural and medicinal values of the flora and fauna in the forest.
Visit Cape Coast Slave Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was departure points for Africans being sent to slavery in the Americas. The castle is home to the infamous "Door of No Return".
Drive on the winding Akuapim Ridge to visit the Aburi Botanical Gardens which was established in 1890 as a convalescent centre for the British Colonial officers governing the Gold Coast as Ghana was then known.
