Offered in: German and 4 more

With this 10 days river crossing safari that takes you to Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara national parks, there are predators to be mindful of, including crocodiles in the river and lions and other large cats waiting to kill the weaker members of the herd on the opposite side. With taking part in the greatest herd migration of animals in the world, the sheer numbers of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles are wonders in themselves.

It’s thrilling to see the daring river crossings, but you have to be patient to see this sight. From the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Masai Mara in Kenya, wildebeest might take hours up to whole days to traverse the Mara and Sand River. The herd is impatiently waiting for one of its members to physically take the lead.
