    Next up will be the Arch of Constantine and the Roman Forum. Both situated very close to the Colosseum. The Forum was the centre of life in the ancient city; a place of commerce, politics and religion. This is reflected in the ruins which are present at the site, including the Arch of Titus, the House of the Vestal Virgins, the Temple of Saturn, the Senate House, and the marble Arch of Septimius Severus.

  • Piazza Venezia (Pass by)

    You’ll then follow the Via Sacra (Sacred Way) to the Capitoline Hill and Il Vittoriano, a vast and distinctive white marble monument, an icon of Rome’s skyline.

    Trevi Fountain

    You will then visit the Trevi Fountain, a baroque masterpiece which is famous across the world. A legend says that if you throw a coin into the fountain you are destined to one day return to Rome. There will then be a break for lunch (own expense). With many eateries to choose from, depending on your preference, your guide will be happy to assist you in making a choice. After lunch you will walk to the Government District, where you can see the Parliament Building, the Palace of the Council of Ministers and the Column of Marcus Aurelius. The imposing Temple of Hadrian is also located in this district; an impressive edifice which was constructed by the Emperor Antonius Pius to honour his predecessor.

    Pantheon

    A brief stroll along a narrow street will bring you to the Pantheon, situated in Piazza della Rotonda. Inside you’ll find the tomb of the great Renaissance artist Raphael.
