You’ll enjoy this 2 day private tour that will show you the breathtaking ancient wonders of Rome, Pisa and Florence!

Day 1: A private guide will take you on an entertaining tour of the Colosseum (inside and out), the Roman Forum, Il Vittoriano, Piazza Venezia, the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. You’ll also see the Vatican, and the incredible Sistine Chapel.

Day 2: A private, full-day tour takes you from Rome to Pisa, then to Florence. Your private driver will take you on a pleasant drive from your hotel in Rome to Pisamfor a self-guided visit. After that, your tour continues to Florence, where you will meet a local guide for a tour of the city's major attractions, including Michelangelo's David!

Then, you’ll return to Rome in the evening with your wonderful memories and lots of photos.

    It is then outside again to see the Arch of Constantine and to  take a walk to the Roman Forum, Ancient Rome’s main square and the centre of activity, political, religious and social.

    Trevi Fountain

    You guide will then take you to the Trevi Fountain, famous as the backdrop to many movies including Fellini’s’ La Dolce Vita.  If you wish to return to Rome one day don’t forget to throw a coin in the fountain and make a wish! It is then time for lunch (own expense).

    After lunch you head for the Government District where you will see the Parliament Building, the Palace of the Council of Ministers, and the Column of Marcus Aurelius.  Nearby is the Temple of Hadrian, commissioned by the Emperor Antonius Pius to commemorate his great predecessor.

    Pantheon

    A walk through a narrow alleyway brings you to the Pantheon where you can see the tomb of the Renaissance painter and architect Raphael.

    Piazza Navona

    As you emerge from the Pantheon you pass by the Ancient Baths of Nero to Piazza Navona to see Bernini’s wonderful Fountain of the Four Rivers.

    The final destination of the day takes you across the Tiber to the Vatican. There is so much to see as you meander through the Vatican Museums.

    Sistine Chapel

    Your guide will tell you about the marvelous artworks on display, especially the frescoes in Raphael’s Rooms and Michelangelo’s renowned ceiling frescoes in the Sistine Chapel.   Your guide will then take you on a tour of Saint Peter’s Basilica and you finish the day in Saint Peter’s Square to catch a glimpse of the Pope’s apartments.

    Leave behind the bustle of Rome for a relaxing 3-hour drive through the scenic countryside of Lazio and Tuscany to Pisa.  You will be collected from your hotel at 7 am in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to begin your full-day tour of Pisa and Florence.   Your private driver will ensure you have stops on the way for comfort breaks and to take photos.  Bottled water is provided. Once in Pisa your driver will drop you in the main square so that you can explore the city centre on your own.  You will have plenty of time to enjoy this wonderful city and to see the outside of the Leaning Tower, the Cathedral, the Baptistery as well as Pisa’s other famous monuments.

    Piazza della Signoria

    After Pisa your driver will take you to Florence where you'll have time for a quick lunch (own expenses). In Florence you will meet a local professional guide who will take you to see the city’s highlights including the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Piazza della Repubblica, Palazzo Vecchio, and the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore to name a few.

  • READ CAREFULLY: Because of the growing popularity of the current pope Francis and his intense activity in organising mass events in the Vatican some areas might get closed last minute without previous notice. This has already happened this year and can happen again during you Vatican tour: the Sistine chapel and/or the Basilica of Saint Peter might not be accessible. In case of such events our tour guide will provide you with a valuable alternative focusing the tour inside the Vatican museums.
