  A1 Hill, also known as C1 Hill, is one of Dien Bien Phu’s most important historical sites, where fierce battles unfolded during the fight against French colonialism. Its strategic position made it a key Viet Minh stronghold, and the victory here in May 1954 marked a major turning point in the campaign. Today, A1 Hill serves as both a memorial and a popular tourist site, offering visitors a chance to learn about its history, honor fallen soldiers, and appreciate the surrounding landscape. We then continue to the De Castries Bunker, the former command center of French General Henri de Castries during the Indochina War and another key landmark of the battlefield

  Khu Di Tich Lich Su Muong Phang

  12:00 – Travel into the mountains to the lesser-known Muong Phang village, home of the Black Thai ethnic community and an important base during the battle.   After resting and finishing lunch, we walk to Ban Kha Village, an important historical site where the Viet Minh established their command center during the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
