3 hours 30 minutes (approximately)
Offered in: English

Valencian paella —and this hands-on cooking class teaches you the real recipe, not a bland substitute. Learn to make authentic paella with seasonal produce from Valencia's own fields, the way local chefs have perfected it for generations. 100% valencian. No shortcuts. Just authentic technique from Valencian chefs who grew up making it.
Your experience starts at Ruzafa Market, a neighborhood gem where locals shop for fresh ingredients—far from the crowds of Central Market. Then, join our small-group workshop to master the secrets: selecting the best seasonal vegetables and meat or seafood - achieving the perfect socarrat (the prized crispy rice crust), using Albufera rice from Valencia's own fields, and balancing saffron like a pro.
While your paella simmers, enjoy a sangria-making workshop and sample traditional tapas. Then sit down to feast on your creation with local wine, salad, mistela, and homemade dessert.

Later we will walk for 8 minutes to reach the kitchen where we will hold a sangria workshop. The chef will be waiting us with some delicious tapas accompanied by sangria, beer, water... Then our chef will explain step by step the preparation of a vegetable paella and once finished we will sit down to taste it. We will accompany the paella with a Valencian tomato salad, Valencia wines, seasonal fruit, typical Valencian sponge cake, sweet wine and coffee.
