Leave Hanoi for Ba Be National Park at 8 AM. It is a 5-hour escape drive to witness the alluring change of landscape miles after miles. On arrival at north wharf of Ba Be lake, take a short boating transfer to Dau Dang waterfall where you start a 2.5-hour trek to Na Nghe village. Enjoy the rural peace and hospitability of this Yao village in the middle of Ba Be National Park. Call it a day after a family Yao dinner delighted with their homemade corn wine.

Take a morning exercise after a long sleep to enjoy the freshest air before your served local breakfast. Hit the trekking trails again to go deeper into the national park. Cross some isolated villages where you are mesmerized by the welcoming hands of innocent Hmong children from local schools. Wind through emerald green corn and rice field. Rest at Wind peak for a prepared picnic lunch before steeping down the valley, along a twisting stream to Ba Be lake. Time to steep yourself in fresh water from Widow island of the lake after a full day of 6-hour adventure.
