Toledo old town was declared by Unesco a " World Heritage Site" in 1986. And this was due to the great importance of the city in the old times and the many monuments that have been preserved from different periods . The whole old town is like an open air museum. If there is a city that sums up our country's history, that one is Toledo.
I love history and my goal in this tour is to share it with you in a way that would make it memorable and entertaining at the same time. Each of you are different, therefore the ability to tailor the visit to your interests will by my priority.
We will travel throught the time and visit the highlights of this fascinating city. We will follow the traces of Muslims, Jewish and of course, Christians. Without forgetting "El Greco" , the painter who immortalized the city with his paintings.

First, we will follow the Tagus river to have the best views over the site of Toledo.
We will explore the old city of Toledo, on foot. I like to show the 3 most representatives monuments of the 3 cultures and religions that were coexisiting in the city during centuries: Muslims, Christians and Jewish. We will see also the famous "steel of Toledo", the handicraft of the towns and even yoy may try its delicious marzipan
This small and beatiful mosque is the only external one surviving in the town.
No words to describe its indoor. It is a museum that reflects the power of the Church in other times.
In this church, we will see the mos famous painting of El Greco: "The Burial of the Lord of Orgaz"
In the old quarter, we can admire the famous handicraft of Toledo: the damascene ware (plates, pendants, bracelets, boxes made of steel decorated with gold and silver thread), swords, ceramics and so on, the swards and knives made with the famous "steel of Toledo".
This is one of the most famous old synagogues in the world. Comission by Samuel Levi Abolafia in the 14th century, reflects perfectly the misxure of styles in its architecture. The sephardic Museum is in this synagogue.
