What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Please take the Cruise Ship Shuttle service to the Timaru I site. Your small group tour bus will be located just across the street from the shuttle drop-off at the Timaru I Site.
Your Driver will have an identified shirt on and a sign to help you identify him.
All tours will ensure travelers will be returned to the I site in Timaru by a minimum of 1 hour before the departure time of your ship ( in some tours, this may mean a 6-hour return tour).
You will be transported with a private driver in a 2WD vehicle as trabnspriot to Lake Tekapo. After a short walk / break in Tekapo you local 4WD driver guide from tekapo Adventures will come to pick you up in the 4WD vehicle for this journey in 4WD through high country private sheep station. The after the 4wd tour you will be transported back in the initial transport vehicle to Timaru Port.

1Lake Tekapo
Experience some of New Zealand’s finest scenery of the legendary Mackenzie Country. This sightseeing tour journeys from the sea to the foothills to the mighty glaciers and turquoise waters of Lake Tekapo. Enjoy in-depth local commentary on the outstanding natural landscapes of The Mackenzie Country, its history, and the unique geological processes that make this part of the South Island so incredible. You’ll explore some of the finest scenery on this tour and have time to explore Lake Tekapo for 1.5 hours at your own leisure. Just enough time to snap photos of the Church of the Good Shepherd, have a walk along the lake, and grab lunch in town at your own expense. After lunch, you will be off on a backcountry road to explore some private viewpoints of Mt Cook & Lake Pukaki, before returning back to the Port of Timaru.
