Fatehpur Sikri is the third world heritage site of the city built by the third Mughal King Akbar from 1570 to 1582. Akbar shifted the capital from Agra to Fatehpur Sikri and ruled for 15 years. Akbar built lots of beautiful palaces with Hindu and Muslim architecture. There are two parts to Fatehpur Sikri, and the first includes sightseeing of beautiful palaces. Diwan-a-am, Diwan-a-khas, Jodha Bai Palace, and Panch Mahal are famous places in this complex. The second part has a beautiful mosque, the tomb of Salim Chisti, and the magnificent Gate. The tomb of Salim Chisti is one of the masterpieces of screenwork with white marble. Many devotees come daily to tie a thread to fulfill their wishes. Buland Darwaza is the tallest door in the world built by Akbar to commemorate his victory in Gujrat.
