Your Vietnam adventure begins with your arrival in Ho Chi Minh. Your private driver will meet you at the airport, holding a signboard with your name. He will escort you to your accommodation right in the heart of the city. You can easily explore the city at your own pace or relax at the hotel after the flight. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.
Start: 8:00 AM - End: 2:30 PM Embark on a captivating journey to Cu Chi Tunnels, a 220 km underground system with great historical significance. This site bravely resisted US forces during the Vietnam War. Located 60 km from Ho Chi Minh City, the tour begins at 8:00 am from Vietnam Adventure Tours office or your district 1 hotel. Enjoy scenic views of rice fields and observe water buffaloes and ducks in rivers. It's remarkable that this area was once heavily bombed and mined, becoming a "free target zone." Upon arrival, explore the tunnels, discover hidden corners, and immerse yourself in the lives of resistance soldiers. Experience cooking with smokeless stoves used by Vietnamese soldiers and taste their sustenance. In the afternoon, we return to the city, concluding the tour at 2:30 PM.
Have breakfast at the hotel and get ready, our team will pick you up around 7:20 and you will depart to My Tho, the picturesque town on the left side of the Mekong River.
Upon arrival in My Tho, you will board the sampan and cruise down the Mekong River around beautiful river islands. Have a stop at Unicorn Island to walk around the country lanes and visit orchards, where you will taste the fresh tropical fruits and enjoy Vietnamese folk music performances.
Get back on the boat and cruise through the Thoi Son enjoying the beautiful views of the quiet countryside. Have a stop on the way to visit the honey-bee farm and coconut candy workshop, where you can enjoy the honey tea with candies. Have lunch at a local restaurant and enjoy some rest. In the afternoon, join the cycling trip around Tan Thach village, and meet the local farmers to know more about daily life in the Mekong Delta. If you do not want to cycle, you can relax in the hammock.
You will be transferred from My Thow back to Ho Chi Minh. The approximate arrival time is 17:30.
Relish the remaining moments before your private driver escorts you to the Ho Chi Minh airport to take the flight to Hue. When you arrive in Hue, your driver will pick you up and transfer you to your accommodation in the city centre. The rest of the time is free at leisure. Overnight in Hue.
Around 8:00-8:30 a.m., we will pick you up and head to explore the most interesting historical and cultural parts of Hue. Take a dragon boat to cruise along the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, which is the oldest pagoda in Hue. Enjoy the fresh air from the Perfume River and enjoy the amazing views.
Visit Hue Imperial Citadel. This imperial city was the home of Vietnam’s last royal dynasty – the Nguyen Dynasty. You will walk through the halls and gardens and see the antiques to know more about the past.
After the Citadel, our car will take you to Dong Ba Market, the busiest market in Hue with various kinds of foods and goods. Here you can see how the local people buy and sell things and this is also a chance for you to buy souvenirs for your friends and family. Enjoy local dishes for lunch.
In the afternoon we will head out of town to visit the royal tombs. Take a rest before continuing the trip and enjoy our complimentary herbal foot bath. Visit Khai Dinh King’s Tomb – which is a blend of Western and Eastern architecture.
Then head to Minh Mang King’s Tomb, which is considered the most majestic of all of the Royal Tombs. Renowned for its architecture, which harmoniously blends into its natural surroundings. On the way back, stop by the Conical hat village and incense stick village (practical experience with making conical hats and incense sticks at a local house). 4:00 – 5:00 p.m: Back to your hotel. Tour ends.
Then you will be transferred to Hoi An. Upon arrival, check-in your hotel and take a rest. Overnight in Hoi An.
Our English - speaking guide will meet you at the hotel around 8:00 am and take you for a cycle trip to the countryside and rivers around Hoi An. As you meander through the countryside, you will experience the friendliness of the local people greeting you along the way and enjoy the beautiful views of the neighborhood. After that, you will explore the Eco-Village Cam Thanh which is associated with the heroic history of the anti-French and anti-American war by taking a paddle boat trip in a unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat down the waterways of a coconut palm paradise. Then you meet and engage with local fishermen, enjoy a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing and “Purple Crabs” in the canal, get some loveable handmade gifts from nipa palm leaves like hats, watches, rings ... After the boat trip, have a delicious lunch in our restaurant and cycle back to your hotel.
Relish the remaining moment in Hoi An before your private driver escorts you to the Da Nang airport to take the flight to Hanoi. When you arrive in Hanoi, your driver will pick you up and transfer you to your accommodation in the city centre.
On a 3-hour walking tour you’ll explore the culture, history of Hanoi, step into a world full of street food vendors. Unlike big cities all around the world, street food in Hanoi are not just hot dog carts and pretzel stands, we offer an opportunity to try out 10 different dishes at local food stand, family restaurants… A rotating menu from day-to-day to represent the variety of delicious options, but tastings might include – but are subject to change: rice noodle soup with beef, rice noodle with chicken, rice noodle with grilled pork, snail, or dry noodle, sticky rice, along with various kinds of donut, steamed pancake or Vietnamese sandwiches.
Today you will visit the picturesque villages in Ba Vi, where you will immerse in the authentic countryside lifestyle and have an unforgettable experience. Head for a 1.5-hour drive from Hanoi center and visit Mr. Duoc with his family at his tea plantation. You will learn everything about tea production and try your hands at picking the tea leaves. Listen to interesting stories of Mr. Duoc's life as he is also a Vietnam War veteran before heading to your other host Mrs. Chin, who will teach you to cook local Vietnamese dishes. After lunch, she will take you around the village, where you will visit the local workshops and see what locals do for their life. Then enjoy the easy cycling trip along the rice paddies followed by the feet soak in the herbal bath, made using the Muong Ethnic traditional recipes. Head back to Hanoi.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to Halong Bay. The cruise team will meet you at the hotel lobby between 8:00-9:00 am (the exact time confirmed the day before).
Arrive at the jetty around noon, board the cruise, and enjoy a welcome onboard. Lunch will be served as the cruise navigates through the stunning islets. In the afternoon, engage in activities like swimming, kayaking, cave visits, or simply relax on board. As the day winds down, the boat anchors in a picturesque spot. Witness the captivating sunset before dinner. Overnight on board. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Note: In case of inclement weather, the itinerary may change or be canceled.
