Upon your arrival in Beijing, our driver will meet you at the exit of airport/train station by holding a welcome board with your name, and then you transfer to your hotel. Have some free time on your own or relax at the hotel (no guide service).
After hotel breakfast, Your guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby. Then you will drive to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall and see whether it lives up to its reputation. You will definitely be amazed by this military defensive project built by ancient Chinese people. Walking along the stone paths and touching the beacon towers, you will step back in time and get a glimpse of the old days. Prepare for lots of walking and wear good walking shoes. (Cable car is optional at CNY120/p.p for single way, toboggan is optional at CNY100/p.p for single way, pay by yourself on site.)
Next come to the Dingling Mausoleum is the underground tomb of Emperor Wanli of the Ming Dynasty. It is the only excavated imperial tomb among the Ming Thirteen Tombs, showcasing remarkable ancient architecture and artifacts.
After the once-in-lifetime experience, head back to downtown Beijing and have the chance to take photos with the exterior of the Bird's Nest (Beijing National Stadium) and Water Cube (Beijing National Aquatics Center). Forbidden City(closed on each Monday) is one of the largest and most completely preserved palace complex built of wood. It functioned as the imperial palace in the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1912). 24 emperors of the two dynasties once lived here.
Temple of Heaven located at southern part of Beijing, it serviced as a complex of sacrificial building where emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for peace and harvest.
Visit the Beijing local folk residence: Hutong Alley. There is opportunity for you to take a rickshaw to explore Hutong to see daily life of native Beijing people(cost on your own). Following the local expert guide, you will find another face of the city that totally different from what you see in major streets.
Pickup by driver in your hotel at about 05:30 and then take the bullet train G89 (06:53-11:24) or similar train to Xian. Met by Xian guide and driver at Railway Station.
Xian Ancient City Wall is the most completely preserved and largest city wall in China. It was built for military defense in the Ming Dynasty, about 650 years ago. You can optionally ride a bike on the city wall.
Come to Bell Tower & Drum Tower Square to have an outer look of the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower. At last, go to visit Muslim Quarter, the most famous food street in Xian.
Muslim Quarter located at the center of Xi’an city. It is a place combining shopping malls, typical local food restaurants, and entertainment places and a must-see spot for tourists with unique historical atmosphere and diver culture. You can optionally try some snacks here
Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. Known as “the Eighth Wonder of the World”, the museum shows a surprisingly high level in sculpture. It is located 30 km east of Xi’an City and the original site was discovered by four local farmers while drilling a well in 1974. Now it has turned into one of the most important attractions in China and the top site in Xi’an. The museum includes Pit 1 (the largest), Pit 2, Pit 3, and the exhibition hall of the chariots and horses.
After visit at Terracotta Warriors, your kids will enjoy making a replica small terracotta soldier. And you can take your “work” home.
In the afternoon, visit another landmark of Xi'an - the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. At around 65 meters tall, the pagoda was built in 652 (in the Tang Dynasty) to store Buddhist scriptures brought back by Xuanzang from India. Have a relaxing time there.
After that, head to Grand Tang Dynasty Ever-bright City, which is next to the Great Wild Goose Pagoda. It is like a time travel when you walk among many Tang Dynasty-style architectures.
The driver will meet you in hotel lobby at about 07:20 and escort you to train station to take the bullet train G362(08:49-14:45) or similar train to Shanghai.
Upon your arrive at Shanghai South Train Station, our local tour guide will pick you up on time, then start the tour in Shanghai.
The Bund is one of the most famous landmarks in Shanghai. Standing on the bank of Huangpu River, the 26 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance are a symbol of Shanghai’s past.
In the evening, take a relaxing Huangpu River night cruise to enjoy the spectacular scenery on the bank. Huangpu River separates Shanghai into two parts, Pudong and Puxi. Cruising on the river will give you an unparalleled view of the city’s skyline and an unforgettable traveling experience. After the cruise, you will be escorted back to hotel.
Then move on to visit Shanghai Museum at People’s Square. Established in 1952, the Shanghai Museum has a collection of more than 120,00 rare cultural pieces from the Old Stone Age to modern times. Shanghai Museum closed on each Monday.
Yuyuan Garden is a famous classical garden which was originally built for Pan’s parents as a place for them to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age. Nearby is Yuyuan Market a bustling marketplace set in an old Chinese neighborhood with traditional architecture and shops selling everything from local snacks to various souvenirs.
Xintiandi is a fashionable pedestrian district in Shanghai. It preserves traditional Shikumen architecture while housing modern restaurants, boutiques, and galleries. This blend of history and style makes it a popular destination for both tourists and locals.
After the tour finished, our guide and driver will escort you to the airport or train station for departure.
