Upon your arrival in Beijing in the morning, our guide and driver will meet you at airport, then start the half day Beijing City Tour.
Tiananmen Square is the heart and symbol of Beijing and the largest city square in the world. The spacious square has been used for many public celebrations, ceremonies, and demonstrations for over a hundred years.
Forbidden City(each Monday closed) is one of the largest and most completely preserved palace complex built of wood. It functioned as the imperial palace in the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1912). 24 emperors of the two dynasties once lived here. (Forbidden City closed on each Monday).
Mutianyu Great Wall is the most scenic part of Chinese Great Wall. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty at 1368 and stretches for 5400 meters. 90 percent of the Mutianyu is covered by vegetation. So in each season this part of the Great Wall will treat visitors with its unique scenery. If hiking is too much for you, cable car is available and optional.
It is located at the west skirt of Beijing and covers an area of 290 hectares. During the Qianlong Era of the Qing Dynasty, the Summer Palace was built by imitating the layout of the West Lake in Hangzhou. Now it is the largest and most completely preserved imperial garden in China.
On the way back to city area, we will make a stop at Bird’s Nest and Water Cube to pay an outer visit and take some pictures, At last, we will pay a visit to Jade Market.
Located at southern part of Beijing, it served as a complex of sacrificial building where emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for peace and harvest.
Lama Temple also called Yonghe Temple, the birthplace of the Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. In the middle and late period of Qing dynasty, it was transformed into a Buddhist temple with the highest level throughout the country.
To visit the Beijing local folk residence: Hutong Alley. There is opportunity for you to take a rickshaw to explore Hutong to see daily life of native Beijing people. Following the local expert guide, you will find another face of the city totally different from what you see in major streets.
Confucius Temple was built in 1302 in memory of the great educationist Confucius.
After the tour finished, our guide and driver will escort you to Beijing West Train Station and take the overnight train Z19 20:35-08:29+1) to Xian.
Known as “the Eighth Wonder of the World” and one of the most significant archaeological discoveries in the 20th century, the museum shows a surprisingly high level in sculpture. The splendid battle formation will leave you an impressive memory.
The Bell Tower and Drum Tower of Xi’an date back to the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). The two are located in the center of the Xian city connecting the four roads from east, south, west and north within the City Wall.
Muslim Quarter is a hub of the Muslim community in Xian City. Many special local products and snacks could be found along this street. You can enjoy preserved meat, casserole, various noodles, etc.
City Wall is the largest and best-preserved ancient city wall in China. It served as the military defensive system in the ancient time which can be traced back to Tang Dynasty. You can optionally choose to explore the City Wall by foot or riding a bike (cost on your own).
Yongxingfang Gourmet Street- the whole street was built in ancient Ming and Qing Dynasty style. Many family-handmade foods which have been lost in big cities can be found here. They cook right in front of you, so you get to see how each food you try was made. Of course, each family has its own secret source or spices you won’t get to know how they make it.
The big wild goose pagoda was originally built to hold the sutras and Buddha statues that Xuanzang brought back to China from India. Now there is a big garden around the pagoda where people can have a nice walk.
After the tour finished, transfer to the airport or train station for your departure to next destinaton.
