Upon your arrival at Beijing airport or train station, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in downtown by our driver, free on your own for the rest of time.
The first stop is Dingling Mausoleum, one of the 13 Ming Tombs in Beijing. This mausoleum is a shared burial area of the 13th Emperor of the Ming Dynasty Zhu Yijun and his wife and concubine. The mausoleum is also one of the three largest mausoleums in scale.
Then you continue to join a Great Wall tour of the Mutianyu section. This part of the Great Wall famed of its magnificent landscape, while also being less crowded and touristy (cable cars are available and optional, you can pay it on spot). After the tour, we will transfer you back to your hotel.
In the morning our guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at a pre-confirmed time for your Beijing city tour. The first stop is Tian’anmen Square, the largest downtown city square in the world as well as the site of the founding ceremony of new China in Oct 1st, 1949.
From the Square, you will arrive at entry of Forbidden City(Closed on each Monday) which used to be the imperial palace of the Ming and the Qing Dynasties. As the world’s largest and best-preserved wooden structured palace complex, Forbidden City is listed among the top five palaces in the world.
Then we'll pay a short visit to Chinese Traditional Medicine Market where you will learn the unique Chinese traditional medicine culture and have opportunity to buy some as souvenirs if you are interested in it.
After that, you will enjoy a local lunch. Then head to Temple of Heaven. It’s a place where emperors went each year at fixed day to worship for heaven and pray for agricultural harvest. Surrounding the Temple of Heaven there are a few other buildings built to prepare items needed for worshiping and prayer.
Next, we'll continue the tour to Summer Palace, the largest and most beautiful Chinese imperial garden. It is regarded as a museum of gardens in China. You will finally be transferred back to your hotel.
In the morning, the local driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby and transfer you to Beijing West Train Station for high speed train to Luoyang (G671/07:49-12:10).
Upon your arrival to Luoyang, the Luoyang guide and driver will greet you at the exit of train station by holding a name board. You will have a lunch before starting the visit.
After lunch, you will come to visit the famous Longmen Grottoes which is a treasure house of ancient stone-carving art more than 100,000 stone statues here, varying from 2-centimeter to 17.14-meter high, and extending for about 1,094 yards along both banks of Yi River. About 12 kilometers far away from Luoyang city, it is one of the three most valuable Buddhist Cave and rock carvings in China (2 hours).
Later, have a visit to Luoyang Old Street where you will find some interesting stalls selling crafts and snacks with local historical appealing.
Our tour guide and driver will pick you up in your hotel lobby in Luoyang at 8:30 am and then start the tour with the Shaolin Temple which is well-known for the birthplace of Chinese Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Martial Arts .You cannot wait for watching the Kongfu Show performance as the saying goes ‘All martial arts (Kongfu) are from Shaolin'. The Shaolin martial arts are an important part of the relics.
After lunch at local restaurant, we will drive to visit Luoyang Museum. It is a historical museum of China and houses over 1,700 cultural and historical relics in 5 showrooms — a presentation of 5 different social development periods such as the Primitive Society, the Slavery Society, and the Feudal Society. Afterwards, you will be transferred to train station for high speed train to Xian (G823/17:57-19:30) .
When you get to Xian, the local driver is wait for transferring you to hotel for check in.
Meet the tour guide at your hotel lobby and then start the group tour to Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum.
Then come to the Terracotta Warriors Museum. Renowned as the eighth world wonder, Terracotta Warriors will surprise you will thousands of real-sized soldiers, generals, and horses figures.
After lunch, you will board the van to the next stop: Ancient City Wall which is the most complete city wall that has survived in China and one of the largest and most complete ancient military systems of defense in the world. Biking ride on the Wall is optional based on your own interest. (Payment on your own at spot) Hotel drop off at your hotel after the tour.
In the morning, after your breakfast at hotel, meet your tour guide at your hotel lobby and then head to Small Wild Goose Pagoda first, which is one of the two completely preserved Tang Dynasty Buddhist Pagodas in Xian.
Next go to Xian Museum where you will find historical relics and learn about the history of this ancient capital city.
The next stop is Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a landmark building in Xian, which was initially built to preserve the Buddhist sutras and statues brought back from ancient India by Monk Xuanzang in Tang Dynasty. You will listen to its interesting stories from your knowledgeable guide.
The last stop of the tour is Bell & Drum Tower Square-Muslim Quarter where you will find lots of local snacks and handi-crafts.
After the tour, it's time to say good bye. You will be transferred to airport or train station for your next destination.
