Xi’an is the best place to see the 5000 years history of China. In history, Xi’an functioned as capital city for over 1200 years. The long history left the city with rich cultural relics: Terracotta Warriors and Horses of the Qin Dynasty (221BC-207BC), Big Wild Goose Pagoda of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Ancient City Wall of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)… This tour will lead you to visit them one by one.
You will be met by our tour guide at Xian airport upon arrival and transferred to your hotel.
After lunch, first we will visit the Shaanxi History Museum. It is a treasure of the cultural heritage of Shaanxi Province and shows the development of the Chinese civilization. Kind Notice: It needs to reserve the entrance ticket of Shaanxi History Museum online 7 days in advance, or the tickets would be easy to be sold out soon. If there is no available tickets when you book the tour within 7 days, we would take Xian Museum instead.
Then visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was built in the Tang Dynasty to keep Buddhist Sutra brought from ancient India by Master Xuanzang. At last transfer back to you hotel.
After the breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you in hotel lobby. Today’s adventure begins with the most notable stop Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum which is discovered by local farmer in 1974 and known as “the Eighth Wonder of the World” today.
After lunch, we will visit the 600 years old City Wall. It was originally built in the Ming Dynasty for military defense and now becomes a symbol of Xian. Travelers can optionally ride a bike (cost on own) on it and enjoy the amazing view of the entire city area inside the City Wall.
Today’s tour concludes at the Bell Tower and Drum Tower Square and the nearby Muslim Street where you will meet lots of local food and snacks.
Please meet your guide and driver in hotel (around 8am) and then drive for about 2 hours to Mt. Huashan. Arriving in Mt. Huashan we will take the scenic shuttle bus to North Peak Cable Car station and take the cable car to the North Peak. On the top of the mountain, you will have some free time to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery. Finally meet your guide at the mountain foot and at 5:00pm the driver will wait for you at the exit gate of mountain and then transfer you back to your hotel. Please prepare some food and water for lunch. There is no restaurant on mountain top.
In the morning, the guide and driver will meet you in hotel lobby. On the way to airport you will make a stop to visit the Hanyangling Mausoleum, the tomb of Emperor Jingdi in the Han Dynasty. Here you will see lots of mini terracotta warriors and horses. Through the different scale mortuary objects and different facial expression in two emperors’ mausoleum you will find the different personality and management modes of the them. Kind Notice: Hanyangling Mausoleum is closed at 17:30 and usually stops to sell tickets at 16:00. You will be dropped off to airport around 18:00 at the latest, please arrange your flight accordingly.
