The 2 days Xian tour from Beijing by flight will save traveling time a lot. In the early morning, our local driver (no tour guide) will pick you up from the hotel lobby in the downtown area by holding a board with your name and transfer to the airport for the morning flight to Xian (You need to buy the round way flights using your passport by yourself in advance).
Upon your arrival in Xi’an, our Xian guide and driver will greet you at Xian airport. Board the private car to the Xian city area. On the way, to the attraction spot, your guide will introduce the history and culture of this ancient city for you to catch a glimpse of reason why so many well-known relics were discovered on this land.
After about 40 minutes of driving, get to Xian Ancient City Wall. Built in the Ming Dynasty, 1370 A.D., it is not only the unique and intact city wall that has survived in China but also the world's biggest and most complete military defense system. Walking or riding a bike (optional with cost on your own) on the 600-year-old wall is a lifetime experience.
In the afternoon, you will be guided to visit the Daci’en Temple which houses Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It was originally built to hold Buddhist sutra and figurines of the Buddha that Xuanzang brought back from India in the Tang Dynasty, 652 A.D. Now there is a big square divided into North Square and South Square, surrounding the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The design of the buildings and statues is in Tang style, showing people the ever glory of that great time. It’s busier in the evening when local amateurs hold many activities with Tang elements.
The last stop is the Muslim Quarter where many special local products and snacks to be found along this street. You can enjoy preserved meat, casserole, and various noodles. At last, drive to your hotel for check-in.
Meet the guide at hotel lobby after breakfast and get on the car to Terracotta Warriors Museum, known as “the Eighth Wonders of the World” with a surprisingly high level in sculpture. It is located 30 km east of the Xi’an City and the original site was found by four local farmers while drilling a well in 1974. The museum includes Pit 1(the largest pit), Pit 2, Pit 3, and the exhibition hall of the chariots and horses. You will stay in the museum for 2-3 hours. Listening to the explanation from the expert tour guide, you will learn the hidden story of those live-sized sculptures and history of their owner: First Emperor of Qin who is also the first emperor of China.
After lunch, drive back to the downtown area for the next site: Xian Museum. It consists of three parts: the museum, the Jianfu Temple, and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. The museum has a collection of 130,000 cultural relics from various historical periods in Xi'an, including some unearthed from influential dynasties in Chinese history such as the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang. After the museum visit, go to admire the onsite Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Learn more about it, besides being a legacy of Buddhist architectural art from the Tang Dynasty.
Finally, board the car to Xian airport to catch a flight back to Beijing. Upon arrival in Beijing, our local driver (no guide) will hold a name sign and wait for you at the exit of the arrival hall. Finish the full-day tour with a Beijing hotel drop-off.
