This trek is the excellent alternative to Annapurna Ghorepani Trek to those who want a little more off beaten trail to explore remotely Nepal with fewer tourists. An early morning Himalayan sunrise views at Poonhill is the starting impression of the trek. As you go up steeply higher to Upper Chistibung, you will encounter high cascading waterfalls, rushing rivers, lush pine forests with vibrant colors of flowers along with fine settlements of local Gurung tribe of people. Exploring sacred Khayer Lake, encountering the local people of fine Gurung villages, walking through the excellent layered paddy fields with rewarding views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Nilgiri, Hiuchuli, etc are the major attractions of this trek.

On this day we have our breakfast by 6:00 a.m. in the morning and head towards tourist Bus Park at Thamel and board a tourist bus to Pokhara. The bus ride will take around 7 hours through curvy roads of hilly terrain with couple of breaks in between for snacks and lunch. The drive to Pokhara on one of the major highways is exhilarating with beautiful views of never leaving tributaries, lush green hills and roadside settlements.
The day starts early by taking a vehicle out of Pokhara. The drive takes around an hour and half to Nayapul and we start our trip towards Ulleri hiking through jeep track way and a little bit of uphill stone steps.
Walking through the beautiful Lord of the Rings like trail set-up is overwhelming and getting to Ghorepani the leading protected area in Nepal with the world largest Rhododendron forest is extraordinary.
An early morning excursion to Poonhill offers you the breathtaking Himalayan sunrise views of Dhaulagiri massif, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal, Hiuchuli, Mt Fishtail etc. Climbing down from Poonhill, we take a breakfast at Ghorepani and start our trip to Upper Chistibung through lush pine forests which contains diverse species of flowers such as maple, oak, orchids. Watch out grazing cattles, and wild Himalayan thar at grassy slopes on the way. Tonight we will stay at Upper Chistibung.
Today, we will ascent towards Khopra Danda through the alpine meadows and pastures gazing over the rushing Kaligandaki river that originatinates from the massive ranges of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Khopra Danda is the best viewpoint to perceive the spectacular views of Dhaulagiri massif inside the Annapurna Region. Tonight we will stay at Khopra Danda.
After a hearty breakfast at one of the finest viewpoint, we head to explore the most sacred himalayan Lake. It is one of the most holiest lake for Hindus, which is also written in Ramayan.
After an early morning breakfast, we head to Tatopani. In tatopani many people enjoy their spear time swimming or bathing in the natural hot water spring. Tonight we will stay at Tatopani.
Today is the last day of your trek. We take a private jeep to Pokhara enjoying the dramtic landscapes, waterfalls and terrains all around the way. We will stay at 3 star hotel in Pokhara tonight.
On this day we have our breakfast by 6:00 a.m. in the morning and get ready to head towards Kathmandu. The bus ride will take around 7 hours through curvy roads of hilly terrain with couple of breaks in between for snacks and lunch. Tracing the same way back we reach Kathmandu and we transfer you back at the hotel.
Today we say our final goodbye. Our representative will come to see you off at the airport. Hoping you had a pleasant and wonderful trekking experience we bid you goodbye.
