Australian Base Camp is the shortest and easiest trekking route. It is very suitable for the trekkers who have an enduring desire to see the close-up views of Annapurna ranges on a short hike.
The trek starts from Pokhara. You will explore the excellent layered rice terrains, lush green and peaceful forests, waterfalls and glowing views of Annapurna II, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna South.
Annapurna Conservation Region never fails to surprise its explorers. It’s the largest protected land in Nepal where you will able to wander around diverse landscapes depending upon your time, level of fitness and group members.
Our airport representative will receive you from Kathmandu International airport and transfer you to the hotel. Your guide will meet you in the hotel to brief about trip.
Our representative will meet you on your arrival at the Airport and transfer you to the Hotel. An information session about the program will be conducted by our Tour Guide. Overnight stay in Hotel.
On this day we have our breakfast by 6:00 a.m. in the morning and head towards tourist Bus Park at Thamel and board a tourist bus to Pokhara. The bus ride will take around 7 hours through curvy roads of hilly terrain with couple of breaks in between for snacks and lunch. The drive to Pokhara on one of the major highways is exhilarating with beautiful views of never leaving tributaries, lush green hills and roadside settlements.
After a breakfast in Pokhara, we take a private jeep to Kande, for about 45 mins. Then after 2 hours of light walk through the traditional village and stone steps, we get to Australian Camp where we will be able to explore the glowing Annapurna South, Mt. Fishtail, and Annapurna II. Tonight we will stay at Teahouse lodge.
We hike down to Pothana and Dhampus exploring the sloppy-roofed houses and traditional people. As we come closer, we can see the amazing view of Mt. Fishtail. We take a private jeep/car/taxi to Sarangkot.
Before 6:00am in the morning, we walk to the Sarangkot viewpoint to watch over the Himalayan Sunrise views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. After breakfast we hike down or take a taxi to Pokhara.
On this day we have our breakfast by 6:00 a.m. in the morning and get ready to head towards Kathmandu. The bus ride will take around 7 hours through curvy roads of hilly terrain with couple of breaks in between for snacks and lunch. Tracing the same way back we reach Kathmandu and we transfer you back at the hotel.
Today we say our final goodbye. Our representative will come to see you off at the airport. Hoping you had a pleasant and wonderful trekking experience we bid you goodbye.
