Enjoy a full-day escape from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido, traveling along the new superhighway through the breathtaking Sierra Madre del Sur. In less than two hours, arrive at one of Oaxaca’s most famous beach destinations.
Start with a scenic boat tour along the Pacific coast, discovering beautiful beaches such as Puerto Angelito, Carrizalillo, Manzanillo, Playa Coral, and the iconic Zicatela. Keep your eyes open for wildlife—dolphins, sea turtles, and even whales during migration season (December to March).
Later, relax at Zicatela Beach, world-renowned for its powerful waves and international surf competitions. Visit La Punta, a vibrant area where you can unwind on the sand or enjoy optional activities like tasting local cuisine, taking a surf lesson, visiting a beach club, or renting bikes and ATVs. You may also take part in a memorable turtle release at sunset.

We picked you up early at your hotel in Oaxaca to take the new speedway that drives us to the southern coast of the Pacific Ocean in Puerto Escondido.

We will embark on a boat tour to explore the main beaches: Zicatela, Puerto Ángel, Manzanillo, and Coral Beach. Afterwards, we will venture into the sea in search of the opportunity to spot turtles and dolphins.

3Playa Zicatela
Afterward, we will take a walking tour to admire the local crafts and capture images from the main viewpoints of Puerto Escondido, including the renowned surf beach, Zicatela, and a workshop of looms and typical clothing from the region.
