Swap crowded slopes for the freedom of the open wilderness with a 4-hour snowmobiling adventure. Glide across untouched snow and spot animal tracks that reveal the quiet life of the Arctic winter. This extended experience takes you deep into scenic landscapes, far from the busy trails, to a peaceful location in the heart of nature.
Along the way, your guide will light an open fire and prepare warm drinks and light snacks—just like in the old days. With plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings, this tour is designed for those who want to slow down, take it all in, and create meaningful memories in Lapland’s winter wilderness.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Your pick-up time will be confirmed via email from Apukka Resort (the activity provider) within 48 hours of booking. Please make sure you open and read this email!
We offer two pick-up points:
Rovaniemi City Center: at address Korkalonkatu 23, pickup time 50 min before activity starting time.
Santa Claus Village: The bus stop Napapiiri I by the main road, E75, pickup time 35 min before activity starting time.
Please note that if you miss the pick-up, refunds are not available.
If you arrive by your own car or other transportation, please arrive straight to Apukka Resort. There is free parking in Resorts' area. Please arrive 20 minutes before activity departure time.
What to expect
As you travel, the untouched snow, the pine tree forests and the animal tracks all around you will tell you the story of the winter of the North. On this adventure you’ll cover a good distance before you’ll find your way to a beautiful location in the middle of the wilderness. Your guide will prepare the lunch and brew coffee by the open fire.
