Your tour of Orang Utan Island from Kuala Lumpur kicks off with hotel pick-up by your friendly and professional driver. 4 hours drive northbound along the North South Expressway brings you to the sleepy community of Bukit Merah town passing through small palm oil plantations and pineapple fields. On arrival, board the ferry boat heading to the Orang Utan Island. Step ashore and amaze yourself with the ‘People of the Jungle’ or Orang Utan, an endangered species. Scientifically identified as brilliant animals, Orang Utans have one of the longest birth intervals, on average, once in every 8 years. Enjoy an hour & half at this dedicated rehabilitation sanctuary. Capture lots of photos for your remembrance.
Travelers can see a Golden Sitting Budhha statue 40 feet stall dominates the temple. The walls of the cavern are decorated with colorful murals depicting characters and events from chine mythology. Behind the statue, a flight of steps more than 450 steps makes its way into the far recesses of the cave out through the opening on the side of Hill reaching the highest pavilion view of the northern suburbs of Ipoh.
