Join us as we explore East Africa, renowned as a mountainous paradise, with the best tracking safari to see mountain gorillas, boat tours, deep blue waters of the cold Atlantic in South Africa, large herds of elephants, buffalo, giraffe, and antelope, as well as big cats come to drink, bathe, and play on the riverbanks, the longest river in Africa and much more. On this trip we will travel back to the earliest beginnings of the world.

We pick up from any hotel within the Cape Town Central Business District
We depart Cape Town in the morning and head to Johannesburg. We enjoy beautiful views of koppies (little hills) flanked by the towering Coleskop (Magic Mountain) situated in the majestic Karoo. This mountain creates such a special illusion as you travel closer to it.
Situated in the heart of the Great Karoo, there is no better place to take in the view of this breathtaking landscape than from here.
The Great Karoo is one of South Africa’s best kept secrets and the expansive beating heart of the country. From its incomparable stark natural beauty to its old school farm-style charm, our drive through the Karoo will leave us mesmerized.
Du Toits Peak (1,995 m) is the highest seaward-facing peak in the Cape Fold Belt ranges, i.e. the highest peak in the Western Cape within direct sight of the ocean. It is located between Paarl and Worcester in the south-west of South Africa. We'll drive past immersing ourselves in the beauty of these mountains
We depart Johannesburg in the morning crossing the border into Botswana. Our accommodation tonight is situated in the area known as Palapye, which is famous for its geographical features. Upon arrival at our overnight stop, we will enjoy views of beautiful gorges, stone walls and old Palapye.
Today we bid farewell to Palapye and head to Kasane, traveling straight to Kwalape Safari Lodge where we will spend the night. Our camp is situated 10 minutes to the border between Botswana and Zambia.
We spend half the day on excursions in Chobe National Park.
It’s a rather short drive to reach our destination, Victoria Falls. Upon arrival in the town we will head straight to the adventure centre where you will receive a presentation of the many activities on offer and will have the opportunity to book some activities. Our visit to the falls will take place in the afternoon
Nearly everyone spends the day white water rafting, a not to be missed experience of a lifetime! Victoria Falls offers many exciting activities so we recommend you add a post-tour night here.
Leaving behind the natural marvel of Victoria Falls we continue our journey. After living Livingstone, we journey toward the dynamic Zambian capital of Lusaka
Leaving behind the dynamic Lusaka city we continue our expedition, we drive to Kapishya Hot springs where we will spend a refreshing 2 days
Spend the day relaxing and enjoying nature. A visit to Shiwa house, farm and swimming in the famous hot springs
At Shiwa Ngandu (The Africa House) we'll enjoy an intricate and mesmerizing African history, both Ancient and Colonial delights. The estate combines this rich and varied history with a world class private game reserve that is home to over thirty species of wildlife and over two-hundred species of birds.
We rise early and depart for Mbeya where we will spend the night. Our guides will provide you with a briefing about the next days’ activities in the Iringa region.
Today we drive towards the historical Iringa town. After arrival, we settle in and prepare for our afternoon activity that ends with sundowners overlooking the magnificent hills of Iringa. The evening is spent around the campfire.
Spend the day exploring the spectacular Isimila Stone Age Site and Museum.
Travel to Dar es Salaam early morning. Arrive in time to book our tickets for the Zanzibar Ferry the next day. We have an option of checking out the nightlife.
Take the ferry at 07:00 am. Arrive in Zanzibar mid-morning. We will then take a tour of Zanzibar’s attractions. We will check out prison island, stone town and the beach
Spend a second day exploring Zanzibar’s rich history and attractions. You will get a comprehensive view and walk around the city, magnificent architecture, narrow alleys, main city market, sand and stone walled ancient buildings that are over 200 years.
Take the ferry at 07:00 am. Arrive in Dar es Salaam mid-morning. Relax in the afternoon. Optional activities include spending time at the beach and sampling out the nightlife.
Leave Dar es Salaam for Arusha early in the morning arriving late afternoon. On the way we drive through the town of Moshi situated at the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro – Africa’s highest mountain, do a city tour and enjoy the Mt Kilimanjaro view.
Visit the Maasai community in Amboseli or Arusha before heading out to Nairobi in the morning via the Namanga border. We clear at the border and then proceed to Nairobi city where we spend the night.
Travel early to Naivasha enjoying the scenic drive. Naivasha is home to a multitude of birdlife. At 1880m, this is the highest of the rift valley lakes. We spend the day enjoying excursions such as a Boat Ride to Crescent Island, Hell’s Gate National Park and Crater Lake visits.
Visit the Nairobi Maasai market, the biggest and oldest form of flea market. This is the place to shop if you are looking for affordable, beautiful and colourful souvenirs to take back home with you. It is an open air market with a wide variety of items to shop including African pots and pans, African paintings, African materials, curios, jewellery, shoes, bags, clothes, utensils, you name it-it will be at the Maasai Market. Note: It operates from about 8am to 7pm every day except Mondays.
Set off for Uganda in the morning with a brief stopover in Nakuru, the capital of the Rift Valley Province and lies adjacent to a wildlife rich Lake Nakuru National Park. Later on we cross the border into Uganda where we overnight in Mbale
Explore stunning beauty as you take on the adrenaline packed Abseiling experience descending off a 100 m ridge close to a roaring waterfall. Take a guided coffee safari and see the path coffee takes from the farm to the final product. We overnight in kapchorwa. Note: Abseiling is an optional activity
Head out to Pian Upe Game Reserve and enjoy a bush breakfast, lunch and a sundowner as the Pian Hills and Wildlife beckon to romance and a fascinating evening. Also experience a wilderness camping and a Karamojong village tour
After marveling at our Sipi Falls and Pian Upe Game Reserve, we embark on our drive to Jinja which is referred to as the Adventure capital of East Africa. We will then explore the source of River Nile and do a Sunset Cruise to Samuka Island.
We will spend another day in Jinja seeing the sights and sounds. Optional Activity: White Water Rafting, Quad Biking, Boat Cruise
From Jinja we drive to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale passing through Kampala. We cross the Equator and stop for the traditional “one-foot in each hemisphere” photo opportunity. Lake Bunyonyi has the deepest crater lake in Africa and is home to a large and varied number of beautiful birds. We overnight in Kabale. Activities include bird watching and canoeing
We drive out in the morning to Kisoro, which is the base from which the optional Gorilla Tracking takes place. We will trek in Mgahinga or Bwindi National Parks.
This morning, we trek with trained park rangers in search of the mountain Gorillas. We spend half the day with these odd sounding and gorgeous primates.
After the thrilling Gorilla experience and enjoying the astonishing Lake Bunyonyi, we begin our drive back to Kampala with a brief stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre. We overnight in kampala and have an opportunity to sample its nightlife.
This morning we exchange contacts and part ways, having just experienced a trip of a lifetime. We suggest you extend your stay by a few days to explore more sights. Transfer to Entebbe Airport. End of Tour!
