    Hoi An Ancient Town

    Next, head to Hoi An old town. Visit the Phuc Kien Chinese Assembly Hall, Phung Hung Ancient House or Tan Ky Ancient House that has withstood 200 years of weather and war. Learn about the prosperous merchants who used to live in these homes, trading with buyers from all around the world. Then, enter the Museum of Folklore to witness a display of artifacts depicting ancient local daily life over 2 floors of a 150-year-old Chinese merchant house. Watch live demonstrations illustrating the values of Hoi An’s folk art. Stop at the Japanese Bridge that was constructed more than 400 years ago to connect the Japanese community with the Chinese who lived on the other side of the water. Admire the carvings and paintings inside the bridge, and learn about their symbolic and cultural significance. Next, visit some of Hoi An’s well-known handicraft shops and artwork galleries.
