In case your hotel is outside the city we will select a convenient meeting point in the city center. The Rheinaue recreational park, known by locals only as "the Rheinaue," is a 160-hectare recreational area in Bonn laid out as a park. The basic features of the park were created on the occasion of the 1979 Federal Horticultural Show south of Bonn's Gronau, a floodplain area that was undeveloped and used for agriculture at the time.
With its Botanical Gardens, the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn maintains one of the oldest documented and most traditional botanical gardens in Germany. Under the motto Explore, Preserve, Explain, Experience, about 11,000 plant species are cultivated there on approximately 12 hectares.

Bonn Cathedral is the main Catholic church in Bonn and a landmark of the city. It was built in the 11th century as the Romanesque collegiate church of St. Cassius and Florentius of the Cassius Abbey.
