Cave Monastery: The Orheiul Vechi Monastery is a remarkable religious site, carved into the limestone cliffs of the Raut River Valley. Dating back to the 13th century, it is a testament to the region's deep Christian heritage. Visitors can explore the caves, which are still inhabited by monks, and admire the serene surroundings that have remained largely unchanged for centuries.
Ethnographical Museum & Open-Air Museum: The Orheiul Vechi Open-Air Museum offers visitors the chance to explore the rural life and traditional architecture of Moldova. You’ll encounter centuries-old dwellings, sacred places, and ancient artifacts that tell the story of Moldova’s people and culture.
Gustar Festival: If you visit in late August, you can attend the Gustar Festival, a vibrant celebration of Moldova's ethnographic traditions, music, and folk culture. This event brings the area to life with performances, crafts, and regional cuisine.
