What to expect

Meet Arti - Your passionate and bubbly Instructor for the cooking class. When she’s not cooking, she teaches Kindergarten kids at the Royal School next door. Her charmingly vintage home is filled with homegrown fruits and vegetables. Enjoy her banter and the fresh produce while you discover the world of authentic Indian cuisine.

The Cooking Class starts with an introduction to the variety of Spices & lentils.

The Menu consists of the following dishes -

Lassi (Indian Yogurt Drink),

Yellow Dal (Lentils),

Palak Paneer (Cottage Cheese in Spinach Gravy),

Aloo-Jeera (A uniquely Indian version of cumin-infused mashed potatoes),

Roti (Indian flat bread),

Rice

As you prepare these dishes, you’ll get insider insights from Arti while also being nostalgic about school.

The meal will end on a sweet note with a Halwa (Semolina based dessert similar to pudding, seasoned with dry-fruits).

Please Note - This is not a professional cooking class but a hands-on home-based cooking experience while also dining with a local family. Beyond cooking, it’s an opportunity to get an intimate peep into the sharing & cohesive approach philosophy of Indian food and family culture.
