Hama Rikyu Gardens was opened to the public April 1, 1946. The park is a 250,165 m² landscaped garden surrounding Shioiri Pond, the park itself surrounded by a seawater moat filled by Tokyo Bay. It was remodeled as a public garden park on the site of a villa of the Shōgun Tokugawa family in the 17th century.
Sensoji Temple is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Japan. There are some historical buildings such as the five-story pagoda and the Hozo-mon Gate(Treasure-House Gate) inside the temple grounds.

Also located in this place, is the departure station of the railway destined for Tohoku region, and for this reason the town has been loved for its sense of nostalgia.
Tokyo Skytree has taken the title of Japan’s tallest building. It has two observation decks affording spectacular views. There is an aquarium in the lower floor of this building.
