    See from outside the bell tower of the Lecce Duomo, which is 72 meters high and is made in lecce stone. Its most peculiar characteristic is the dome at the top, which is covered with colorful majolica tiles.

    Piazza Sant'Oronzo, formerly known as the Square of Merchants, is dedicated to the patron saint who is said to have protected the area from the plague. See the remains of the Roman amphitheater in the square, which was discovered in the early 20th century.
