Minneriya National Park
Prepare to "GET WILD", Go on a Jungle Safari at Minneriya National Park. This three-hour safari takes you on a ride through the Minneriya National Park. Enjoy the sight of over 150 elephants congregating in one place during the famous Great Elephant Gathering, which happens in the dry season between May to October. In addition to elephants, get a chance to also see many mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians in the scrublands, forests and other areas.

Ritigala Forest Monastery
Ritigala is an ancient Buddhist monastery and mountain in Sri Lanka. The ruins and rock inscriptions of the monastery date back to 1st century BCE.Ritigala mountain range consists of four peaks of which the main and the highest peak at the south of the range is named Ritigala Kanda. Ritigala mountain range, a 1,528 ha (3,780 acres) Strict Nature Reserve, in the Dry Zone of Sri Lanka, is managed by the Department of Wildlife of Sri Lanka together with the Forest Department of Sri Lanka.

Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress
Visit the World Unesco Listed Lion Rock, Lion Rock in Sigiriya is one of the most popular landmarks to visit during a route through Sri Lanka. The natural phenomenon is an enormous (200m) square shaped rock that looks like it’s placed there. Lion Rock is one of the eight UNESCO World Heritage sights and is a must visit in Sri Lanka. Prepare yourself for a little challenge and conquer the 1200+ steps to the top.This is an absolute must do in Sri Lanka! The climb is marked with good paths and stairs. The start at the terraces gardens gives you the most impressive perspective of the rock. During your way up to a breather at Sigiriya Frescoes (old wall drawings), mirror wall and at the lion claws carved out of the rock which is right before the last climb. Once arrived at the top of Lion Rock enjoy the incredible 360 degrees view over the whole area. Every corner has its own unique view. Try to spot some areas you have just visited.

Golden Temple of Dambulla
Drive to Mahiyanganaya (Vedda Village) enroute via Dambulla Cave Temples, Enter the historic caves of the Golden Temple of Dambulla, dating back to the 1st century BC. View the ancient murals depicting the life story of Lord Gautama Buddha. Look at the hundreds of figurines of Buddha and other deities scattered throughout the five main caves. Visit the Cave of the Divine King, Cave of the Great King and the Great New Monastery. See the giant golden Buddha Statue just a little distance outside the cave complex.

Udawattekele Sanctuary
Head towards Kandy enroute via Udawattekele Sanctuary, Udawatta Kele, is a historic forest reserve on a hill-ridge in the city of Kandy. It is 104 hectares (257 acres) large. During the days of the Kandyan kingdom, Udawattakele was known as "Uda Wasala Watta" in Sinhalese meaning "the garden above the royal palace". The sanctuary is famous for its extensive avifauna. The reserve also contains a great variety of plant species, especially lianas, shrubs and small trees. There are several giant lianas. Many of small and medium size mammals that inhabit Sri Lanka can be seen here.
