The 5-day Galapagos Islands tour, allows you to explore the Islands, just like Charles Darwin Swim alongside colorful fishes, sea urchins and starfish while snorkeling. You might even spot some sharks! The volcanic islands are also home to the Giant Tortoises. See these amazing reptiles as well as other creatures, including blue-footed boobies, Galapagos sea lions, albatrosses, marine iguanas and frigate birds in their natural habitat. Arrive at Baltra´s airport, your guide will pick you up at the airport and drive up to the ranch in the highlands. This area concentrates vast extensions of forests of Scalesia, Miconia, and giant tortoises. This is a great place to observe these iconic animals in their natural habitat. We will visit lava tunnels and the twin craters of the Galapagos; it is a rewarding visit for nature-loving tourists. The lush green landscape of the highlands stands in stark contrast to the more arid coastlines of the lowlands, providing a very different Galapagos experience. Lookouts over the crater sinkholes show off the stunning scenery, and there are plenty of interesting birds too. Overnight in a hotel in Santa Cruz.
Depending on the dates and/or navigable site available, pick-up from the hotel will be early in the morning (6-or 7:00 am) to take you to the small vessel at the embarkation point in Puerto Ayora for a unique experience with Galapagos wildlife and endemic vegetation. The destination can be either Santa Fe, Pinzon, or Floreana. The activities will include hiking, snorkeling, swimming, and breathtaking sightseeing. After land and sea excursions, we will return back to the hotel in Santa Cruz where you can relax
At 6:30 am pick you up at the hotel and go to the harbor, share speed boat at 7:00 AM to Isabela (approx. 2-hour ride). Once on Isabela, you can walk on your own to the tortoise breeding center or to the flamingo lagoon. After lunch, we will pick you up to visit the Island Tintoreras islet, short hike, and snorkeling. You can spot penguins, marine iguanas, sea lions and reef sharks, which are resting there in the lava channel. Snorkel in turquoise water and spot different fishes, sea turtles, rays and penguins.
You go by boat to Cabo Rosa (45 min boat ride), where lava has flowed into the ocean and formed beautiful lava tunnels. There you may see penguins, blue-footed boobies and sea turtles. However, the Highlight is snorkeling. You have the chance to see sharks, sea turtles, sea lions, rays, seahorses and many tropical fishes. The tour to Cabo Rosa takes about 5 hours. Then, take the speedboat back to Santa Cruz.
Breakfast. Afterward, your driver will bring you to the Itabaca Channel, which you will cross on a ferry. For the last part of your trip to the airport, you will take the public bus. Your driver will accompany you to the check-in at the airport, where your program ends with the flight back to the mainland.
