    City Palace of Jaipur

    Your first stop will be the City Palace Complex in Jaipur. This royal residence and former administrative headquarters of the Jaipur State was established shortly after the city of Jaipur was founded. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, who moved his court from Amber to Jaipur in 1727, oversaw the construction of the palace. Note: The City Palace entry ticket grants access to most sections of the complex; however, entry to the Chandra Mahal Palace (Blue Room) is not included and requires a separate ticket.

    Jantar Mantar - Jaipur

    Next, head to Jantar Mantar, located just opposite the City Palace. This astronomical observatory in Jaipur was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the early 18th century. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jantar Mantar is famous for its collection of large, fixed astronomical instruments, including the Samrat Yantra, the world’s largest stone sundial.
