Guest gets the opportunity to catch their own fish, harvest fresh organic herbs for the herbal garden on site, process coconuts to make coconut milk, cook a traditional meal over a traditional stove and enjoy the delicious food of their labor. The experience is topped off by learning how to play the Garifuna drums.

Meeting and pickup
Once in Hopkins Pickup Point is at the Northend of Hopkins Pass Seiri Del Mar Resort. Take the the dirt road along the green fence to the beach at Hawaii Estuary.
Exact Meeting location is at Hawai Estuary right opposite Palmento Grove Dock. This is located at the north end of Hopkins pass Seiri Del Mar Resort. Guests can safely follow the Palmento Grove directional signs in the area to get to the meeting point.

Your next destination is the Palmento Grove Cultural and Fishing Lodge, Located on Kalipuna Cultural Heritage Island paradise a replicated charm of an authentic Garifuna village.
Step into the Baba Sandu Spiritual Center, where our knowledgeable guides will enlighten you about the rich history of the Garifuna people. Stroll through our lush herbal garden, where you'll discover the secrets of traditional herbs.
Culinary Adventure:
Head to our cultural kitchen, where you'll cook over an open fire stove known as a fire heart. You'll prepare a mouthwatering dish called 'Hudut', a staple in Garifuna cuisine. Savor the fruits of your labor as you indulge in the exquisite flavors of Hudut.
Conclude your adventure on a high note with a captivating Garifuna drumming session led by our master instructor.
