We specialize in photographic Pantanal safaris. We have great knowledge and experience on jaguars, ocelot, Giant river otter, Giant anteater, southern tamandua and all guides are great birders as well. We are trained in positioning cars, boats for photography to provide the best possible opportunities for our clients.

    Day 1

    CUIABA / TRANSPANTANEIRA ROAD / POUSADA PORTO JOFRE

    In Cuiabá the guide will pick you up at the airport and transport you to the Pantanal. First travel 100 km along a paved road, pass through the town of Poconé, and then enter the Transpantaneira Highway, one of the best wildlife viewing. We continue our drive further 150 km into Porto Jofre área, passing through several different ecosystems. On the way From Pocone to Porto Jofre, we can spot Marsh deer, South American coati, anaconda, giant anteater, toco toucans, tapirs, armadillos, hyacinth macaws. Arrive to the lodge for dinner. Overnight at our accommodation. The accommodation is located at the end of the Transpantaneira road on the banks of the Cuiaba River at Porto Jofre. Here we’ll begin our full day searches for jaguars along the riverbanks. The lodge is located 30 minutes by boat from the Three brothers river, the best area to view jaguars in the entire pantanal.

    MEETING-OF-THE-WATERS STATE PARK & PORTO JOFRE

    After an early breakfast, we leave the hotel in our motorboats to search for Jaguars along the three rivers that form the the Meeting-of-the-Waters State Park, this park is one of the three largest protected areas in the entire Pantanal. With its high density of jaguar prey, including caiman and capybara, the Encontro das Aguas State Park contains one of the Pantanal’s highest concentrations of these chances to see Jaguars, quite often jaguars can be seen on the river banks, many of them at very close range for extended periods, specially from June to November. We will also encounter other interesting wildlife, including giant river otters, caimans, tapirs, anacondas,howler monkeys, capybaras, and many bird species.We are going to spend around 10-12 hours on the river, We are going to have our lunch with Us picnic-style lunch while anchored along the river with plenty of opportunities to take a safe bathroom break on the beaches as necessary. Late afternoon we return to the lodge.

    After breakfast we check-out and start our way back towards Cuiaba. We normally arrive in Cuiaba around 12 am (lunch time). However if you have an early flight to catch, we can arrange a more early transport to the airport. Note: For photographic safaris we can start even earlier in the morning to be on the river by sunrise
