3-day ITINERARY from Fez to Marrakech through the Sahara desert

Marrakech – Ait benhaddou – Dades Gorges.
3-day excursion to the Merzouga desert from Marrakech at 7:00 in the morning departure from Marrakech to Ouarzazate, through the Atlas Mountains (we will make small stops along the way to get closer to the beautiful landscapes and authentic Berber villages). The first stop will be a visit to the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a 16th century fortress classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, and many great films were made there as well (Gladiator, Laurence of Arabia, Kingdom of Heaven…) . Then we continue to Ouarzazate (lunch). Afterwards, we will go to the Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses, with a stop to see locally made cosmetics, through the fascinating palm grove of Skoura, where numerous ancient kasbahs stand out among the palm trees. Dinner and accommodation in the Dades Gorges.

Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

Magnificent opportunity to contemplate the beautiful spectacle of sunrise over a sea of dunes. Breakfast in the desert and departure through the Draa Valley, the largest in all of Morocco, towards Agdz and Ouarzazate. Visit of the Taourirt kasbah, built in adobe with crenellated towers. Free lunch on the way. Arrival in Marrakech. End of the excursion.

Merzouga – Alnif – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Early in the morning, we get up to admire the other experience of the enchanting desert view of the sunrise and then we will ride the camel to return to the Lodge. After breakfast, we will begin the journey back to Marrakech through Rissani, the origin of the Alawite dynasty that reigns in Morocco. Next we will go through the Berber villages of Alnif and N'Kob and through the Draa Valley to Agdez, where we will have lunch. Afterwards we will return to Marrakech crossing the High Atlas mountains. We will arrive in Marrakech around 7 pm. The end of our 3 days from Fez to Marrakech through the Sahara desert.
